Thammasat Lecturers swept the awards from the iENA 2022

Lecturers from Thammasat University won the innovation contest at the iENA 2022 in the Federal Republic of Germany.

     Recently, four innovative projects from Thammasat University were selected by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to participate and represent Thailand in the innovation competition in the “The International Trade Fair – Ideas, Inventions and New Products” (iENA 2022) in Nuremberg, Federal Republic of Germany in which all 4 of the aforementioned projects received medals from the contest as follows:

 1) Prize of the iENA Fairmanagement

 2) 2 gold medals

 3) 2 silver medals

 4) 1 Special Prize (on stage)

 5) 1 Special Prize from Portugal

The projects that received the highest prizes of the Prize of the iENA Ceremony were:

     1) Project Title: “Automated Adjustable Bed with Artificial Intelligence System for Infants or Children” by Asst. Prof. Supawadee Tubklum, Faculty of Nursing. (Head of the inventor team) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Prachya Prempraneerat, Faculty of Engineering (Research funding from NRCT, the "Prototype Project: Thai inventor, world inventor".

2 projects that won gold medals were:

     1) Project Title: “Automated Adjustable Bed with Artificial Intelligence System for Infants or Children” by Asst. Prof. Supawadee Tubklum, Faculty of Nursing. (Head of the inventor team) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Prachya Prempraneerat, Faculty of Engineering.

     2) Project Title: “Eye patches for infants receiving phototherapy” by Asst. Prof. Supawadee Tubklum, Faculty of Nursing. 

 2 projects that won silver medals were:

     1) Project Title: “Light Dispersion Prevention Device during Phototherapy” by Asst. Prof. Supawadee Tubklum, Faculty of Nursing and Prof. Dr. Padungsak Rattanadecho, Faculty of Engineering. This project also received a Special Prize from Portugal.

     2) Project Title: “Degradable Mulch Film Mixed with Multi-functional Nanoparticles to Prevent and Control Root Rot and Pests in the Soil” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dusit Athinuwat, Miss Romnalin Chantawongse and Mr. Apisit Nilamart, Faculty of Science and Technology. Apart from that, the project also won the Special Prize (on stage) "Great Prize IENA 2022" from Association of European Inventors.

     “The International Trade Fair – Ideas, Inventions and New Products” (iENA 2022) is an international innovation competition. This time, over 500 innovations from 26 countries had been submitted to the contest.
