Thammasat joins forces with Department of Industry Promotion to promote and develop creative industries

Thammasat University signed a MOU on Academic Cooperation, ‘The Promotion and Development of Creative Industrial Materials and Industrial Crafts’

     Thammasat University by Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, Rector of Thammasat University together with the Department of Industry Promotion by Dr. Nutthapol Rangsitpol, Director-General of the Department of Industry Promotion signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Cooperation, ‘The Promotion and Development of Creative Industrial Materials and Industrial Crafts between Thammasat University and the Department of Industrial Promotion (2022-2024) with Mr. Chumlak Kanpetch, Deputy Governor of Lampang Province along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreeya Kaewla-iad, Vice Rector for Lampang Center Administration and Law, Ms. Natthiya Netthayasupha, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industry Promotion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anucha Tirakanon, Dean of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Administrators of the Department of Industry Promotion, Thammasat University administrators and heads of government agencies witnessed at the Northern Industrial Convention and Exhibition Center, Department of Industry Promotion, Lampang Province

     Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, Rector of Thammasat University said that since 2006, an agreement was initiated for academic cooperation to promote and develop creative industrial materials to support knowledge exchange in product development. With particular expertise in academic and creative arts and design of the Industrial Crafts Design program, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Thammasat University and with specialization in researching and developing materials in the pottery industry of the Creative Industrial Material Research And Development Center. In addition, it is in accordance with the strategic development of the province and the upper northern region which aims to develop the pottery industry that is prominent in Lampang Province to have more potential and added value Thus, a collaboration between the two agencies was formed.

     Dr. Nutthapol Rangsitpol, Director-General of the Department of Industry Promotion added that we aim to promote education and technology transfer, enhance both production skills and industrial and industrial crafts management for students of Lampang Campus, entrepreneurs, industrial personnel as well as community enterprises, especially creative industrial materials. By which the signing ceremony is to consider the adjustment of the content of various matters from the year 2017 when the latest agreement was signed to be in accordance with the strategy of Lampang Province and Thailand 4.0 for development to keep up with the context of the modern era.
