Thammasat and Peking U. renew strategic partnership.

     Thammasat University reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with Peking University during a high-level meeting held at Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus on 9 June 2025. The delegation from Thammasat, led by Rector Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lertrattanon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs.

     They welcomed senior representatives of Peking University, led by Prof. JIANG Guohua, Vice Chair of the Peking University Council, accompanied by the Deputy Director of the International Office and other senior officials.

     The meeting underscored both institutions’ commitment to deepening academic collaboration through expanded student and staff exchange programs, joint academic seminars, dual-degree degree offerings, and co-research initiatives. Priority areas of collaboration included Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Traditional Chinese medicine – fields in which both universities bring distinct strengths and expertise. 

     In addition, Peking University extended an official invitation for Thammasat to join the 22^nd Beijing Forum, scheduled to take place in Peking from 7 to 9 November 2025. This year’s forum will be held under the overarching theme of “The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All”, with a sub-theme focusing on “Civilizational Coexistence in the Age of Digital Intelligence”.

     มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เน้นย้ำจุดยืนในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับมหาวิทยาลัยปักกิ่ง ในระหว่างการหารือของผู้บริหารระดับสูง ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 9 มิถุนายน 2568 นำโดย ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และ ดร.อุษณีษ์ ปฐพีศรีกิจส เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับและหารือร่วมกับผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัยปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีน นำโดย Prof. JIANG Guohua, Vice Chair ของสภามหาวิทยาลัยปักกิ่ง

     การหารือให้ความสำคัญกับการยกระดับความร่วมมือทางวิชาการผ่านโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา เจ้าหน้าที่ การจัดงานสัมมนาทางวิชาการและการทำวิจัยร่วมกัน รวมถึงการจัดหลักสูตรร่วม โดยมุ่งเน้นในสาขาปัญญาประดิษฐ์ หรือ Artificial Intelligence: AI เทคโนโลยีด้านคอมพิวเตอร์ และการแพทย์แผนจีน ซึ่งสองสาขาเป็นแนวทางที่ทั้งสองสถาบันสามารถนำความเชี่ยวชาญไปพัฒนาต่อยอดได้  

     โดยมหาวิทยาลัยปักกิ่ง ได้เชิญธรรมศาสตร์ ร่วมงานเสวนาทางวิชาการ “the 22^nd Beijing Forum” ภายใต้หัวข้อ “The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All” และมีหัวข้อย่อยที่เน้นสาระสำคัญด้าน “Civilizational Coexistence in the Age of Digital Intelligence” ระหว่างวันที่ 7 – 9 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ณ เมืองปักกิ่ง

Thammasat and Utah State U. explore academic ties.

     On 11 May 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, along with the OIA Coordinator for the Americas, welcomed Dr. Jason Smith, Director of International Cooperative Academic Programs and Associate Professor of Finance, and a delegation from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University (USU), U.S.A. The meeting took place at Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus.

     The discussion focused on establishing cooperative academic programs, including potential formats such as 4 + 0, 3 +1, and 2+2 bachelor’s degree pathways. USU representatives also introduced scholarship opportunities for Thammasat students in fields such as Finance, Economics, and Agribusiness, with support including a monthly stipend. 

     This visit marks an initial step toward strengthening academic ties and fostering long-term collaboration between Thammasat and Utah State University.

     การหารือมุ่งเน้นการสร้างความร่วมมือ Cooperative program เช่น การพัฒนาหลักสูตรปริญญาตรี รูปแบบ 4 + 0 หรือ 3 + 1 หรือ 2 + 2 โดยผู้แทนจาก Utah State University ได้ให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับทุนการศึกษาสำหรับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ ในสาขาการเงิน และการเงินภาคการเกษตร โดยเป็นทุนสนับสนุนรายเดือน

     การเยือนครั้งนี้ จะเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่สำคัญในการผลักดันให้เกิดความร่วมมือที่ยั่งยืนระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และ Utah State University

Thammasat explores partnership with SEARCA to advance micro-credential programs

     Thammasat University is exploring ways to integrate micro-credential programs into its academic offerings through collaboration with the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), based in the Philippines. 

     The Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, welcomed Ms. Paula Grace M. Muyco, Program Specialist from SEARCA’s Graduate Scholarship and Institutional Development Unit in the Education and Collective Learning Department, during her recent visit to the Office of International Affairs (OIA) on Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus. The visit was part of SEARCA’s ongoing Scoping Study on Micro-Credentials in Southeast Asia, which aims to gain deeper insights into the landscape of micro-credentials in Thailand. By visiting Thammasat University and other institutions across the country, SEARCA seeks a more comprehensive understanding of Thai universities’ perspectives on the development and implementation of micro-credential programs.

     During the meeting, Dr. Supreedee shared his vision for integrating micro-credentials into Thammasat University’s academic ecosystem through international student exchange programs, supported by the OIA. He emphasized that such initiatives could create new academic opportunities for Thammasat students and enhance the university’s global engagement.

     He also highlighted the potential of micro-credential programs to be implemented across various faculties and through Thammasat’s Institute for Continuing Education. These efforts, he noted, would support the university’s commitment to lifelong learning by offering flexible, skills-based educational pathways.

     โดย รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ได้ให้ข้อคิดเห็นและมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการบูรณาการระบบ Micro-credentials เพื่อนำไปใช้ในระบบการศึกษาของธรรมศาสตร์ผ่านโครงการแลกเปลี่ยน พร้อมเน้นย้ำการริเริ่มพัฒนาระบบที่จะสามารถเปิดโอกาสการเรียนรู้ใหม่ ๆ ให้กับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ ส่งเสริมระบบเครือข่ายการทำงานของมหาวิทยาลัยในระดับนานาชาติ และการนำระบบ Micro-credential programs ไปใช้ในคณะ หรือสถาบันต่าง ๆ ภายในธรรมศาสตร์ ซึ่งการผลักดันนี้ จะเป็นสิ่งที่ส่งเสริมให้เกิดการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตของผู้เรียน ด้วยการสนับสนุนแนวทางการศึกษาแบบที่ยืดหยุ่นและมุ่งสร้างทักษะเฉพาะด้าน
