Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with academic partnership network.

Thammasat and U.S. Embassy Strengthen Strategic Partnership

     On 8 April 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, together with Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lertrattananon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, welcomed Dr. Jacqueline Mourot, Cultural and Educational Attaché, along with senior representatives from the Embassy of the United States of America in Bangkok, to Thammasat University Tha Prachan.

     The visit provided an opportunity for the Embassy delegation to gain deeper insight into Thammasat University’s academic landscape, with particular interest in the challenges and opportunities facing higher education today. Discussions focused on expanding academic collaboration, including the development of partnerships with U.S. institutions through diverse academic models and innovative approaches. Emerging trends in international engagement – such as student exchange programs and overseas study opportunities – were also highlighted.

     The Vice Rector reaffirmed Thammasat’s strong commitment to internationalization, emphasizing its broad portfolio of internationally oriented programs across multiple faculties. He also underscored the University’s well–structured credit transfer system designed to facilitate student mobility and enhance the pursuit of global learning experiences. Expanding collaborations across a wider range of disciplines, particularly in alignment with institutions such as the University of California system, was identified as a key pathway toward deeper engagement with leading U.S. universities.

     Currently, Thammasat maintains active partnerships with several prominent U.S. institutions in both student exchanges and collaborative research. In parallel, Thammasat also continues to strengthen ties with the industrial sector, recognizing the vital role of internships in enhancing student employability.

     The visit reaffirmed the Embassy’s roles as a strategic partner in supporting Thammasat’s efforts to connect with prospective U.S. universities and expand its international academic network.

     เมื่อวันที่ 8 เมษายน 2569 รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วย อาจารย์ ดร.อุษณีษ์ ปฐพีศรีกิจส เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับ Dr. Jacqueline Mourot ที่ปรึกษาฝ่ายวัฒนธรรมและการศึกษา และเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย

     โดยการหารือมุ่งเน้นการขยายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ รวมถึงการพัฒนาความร่วมมือกับสถาบันการศึกษาในสหรัฐอเมริกาผ่านรูปแบบทางวิชาการและนวัตกรรม พร้อมทั้งให้ความสำคัญในการทำความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ เช่น โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา และโอกาสในการศึกษาต่อต่างประเทศ

     ทั้งนี้ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ เน้นย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ในการก้าวสู่ความเป็นนานาชาติ ด้วยหลักสูตรนานาชาติในหลายคณะ และระบบการเทียบโอนหน่วยกิต ซึ่งออกแบบมาเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา

Thammasat and Exeter Explore Further Collaboration

     On 20 March 2026, Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lertrattanon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexey Bessudnov, Deputy Head of Department at the University of Exeter in the UK, representing the Department of Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy and Anthropology.

     During the university–level discussions, both sides expressed strong appreciation for the 4+1 progression agreement model, which is expected to be formally signed in the near future. This initiative will enable Thammasat students to pursue a seamless pathway, continuing their studies abroad at the University of Exeter.

     At the faculty level, the University of Exeter currently maintains a 2+2 collaboration model with several faculties at Thammasat, including the Faculties of Political Science, Social Administration, Journalism and Mass Communication, and the College of Interdisciplinary Studies.

     To further expand academic exchange opportunities, Exeter expressed a keen interest in developing integrated exchange programs incorporating Thai cultural contexts. These initiatives aim to attract more UK–based students to study at Thammasat.

     This visit reaffirmed the strong partnership between Thammasat and the Exeter, paving the ways for new initiatives and the continued expansion of collaborative opportunities.

     เมื่อวันที่ 20 มีนาคม 2569 อาจารย์ ดร.อุษณีษ์ ปฐพีศรีกิจส เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ หารือแบบทวิภาคีร่วมกับ Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexey Bessudnov รองหัวหน้าภาควิชาสังคมศาสตร์และรัฐศาสตร์ ปรัชญา และมานุษยวิทยา จาก University of Exeter สหราชอาณาจักร โดยได้หารือถึงความคืบหน้าของข้อตกลงทางการศึกษารูปแบบ 4+1 ซึ่งปัจจุบัน University of Exeter มีความร่วมมือรูปแบบ 2+2 กับหลายคณะ ได้แก่ คณะรัฐศาสตร์ คณะสังคมสงเคราะห์ศาสตร์ คณะวารสารศาสตร์และสื่อสารมวลชน และวิทยาลัยสหวิทยาการ

     นอกจากนี้ University of Exeter ได้สนใจการพัฒนาโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนแบบบูรณาการผสานกับบริบททางวัฒนธรรมไทย เพื่อดึงดูดนักศึกษาจากสหราชอาณาจักรให้มาศึกษาต่อ ณ ธรรมศาสตร์

Thammasat and Lehigh Reconnect to Strengthen Cooperation

     On 17 March 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, warmly welcomed Ms. Julia Aughenbaugh, Associate Director of Global Programs from the College of Education at Lehigh University, USA. The meeting took place at the Office of International Affairs (OIA) on Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus.

     During the visit, representatives from both institutions reviewed the 2024 summer program co–organized by Thammasat and Lehigh. The discussion included constructive feedback, highlighting key strengths as well as areas for improvement to enhance future collaboration.

     To ensure the sustainability of their academic partnership, both parties also discussed plans for the upcoming June 2026 summer program. Key topics included logistical arrangements, visa regulations, facility management, health insurance, student orientation, and support services.

     This visit marks a significant step in renewing and strengthening cooperation between the two universities with a share commitment to delivering meaningful, high–quality collaborative experiences for students in the June 2026 Summer Program.

ธรรมศาสตร์ และ Lehigh University ร่วมหารือโครงการระยะสั้นภาคฤดูร้อน

     เมื่อวันที่ 17 มีนาคม 2569 รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับ Ms. Julia Aughenbaugh, Associate Director of Global Programs จาก College of Education, Lehigh University สหรัฐอเมริกา โดยหารือแผนการจัดโครงการระยะสั้นภาคฤดูร้อนในเดือนมิถุนายน 2569 พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอประเด็นสำคัญครอบคลุมด้านการบริหารจัดการด้านโลจิสติกส์ กฎระเบียบด้านวีซ่า การบริหารจัดการสถานที่ ประกันสุขภาพ กิจกรรมปฐมนิเทศ และบริการที่ต้องสนับสนุนในด้านต่าง ๆ

Thammasat and Yokohama City U. Reaffirm Partnership   

     On 17 March 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, warmly welcomed Mr. Kenta Wakame from the Medical Education Internationalization Section, School of Medicine at Yokohama City University (YCU), Japan, during his introductory visit to the Office of International Affairs (OIA) on Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus. 

     Currently, the School of Medicine at YCU and Thammasat’s Faculty of Medicine collaborate at the faculty level on short–term exchanges and internship programs hosted at their respective teaching hospitals.

     During the meeting, the Vice Rector expressed his appreciation for the close and productive partnership between the two medical institutions. He also highlighted the broader university–level cooperation, noting a series of successful joint academic activities. As members of the International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities, both universities remain committed to exploring new avenues for collaboration, particularly through engagement at the consortium’s annual membership symposium. 

ธรรมศาสตร์ และ Yokohama City University ตอกย้ำความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางวิชาการ

     เมื่อวันที่ 17 มีนาคม 2569 รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับ  Mr. Kenta Wakame ฝ่ายบริหารการศึกษาแพทยศาสตร์นานาชาติ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จาก Yokohama City University (YCU) ประเทศญี่ปุ่น

     ปัจจุบัน คณะแพทยศาสตร์ของทั้งสองมหาวิทยาลัย มีความร่วมมือระดับคณะที่เข้มแข็ง ผ่านโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนและการฝึกงาน ณ โรงพยาบาลในสังกัดของทั้งสองสถาบัน นอกจากนี้ ในฐานะสมาชิกเครือข่าย International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities (IACSC) ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังมุ่งมั่นที่จะแสวงหาแนวทางความร่วมมือใหม่ ๆ อย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะการต่อยอดผ่านเวทีประชุมสมาชิกประจำปีของเครือข่าย
