An Exhibition Commemorating the Centennial Birthday, “Kaew Galaya: Sino-Thai Friendship”

An exhibition grand opening in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra, was held at the IconSiam shopping mall.

     On February 23, 2024, at 09:00, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn inaugurated an exhibition commemorating the centennial birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, displaying her public duties in developing Sino-Thai friendship and academic collaborations, held at the IconSiam shopping mall, under the theme “Kaew Galaya: Sino-Thai Friendship”. The exhibition was scheduled to take place from February 22-26, 2024, organized by Thammasat University in collaboration with the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, as part of the centennial celebration of the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Galayani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra. This occasion is also dedicated with the recognition by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) of Her Royal Highness as the world's significant figure in education, science, and culture.

     On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Suraphol Nitikraipot, Chairman of the University Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gasinee Witoonchart, the Rector of Thammasat University, Mrs. Daranee Wattanavekin, President of the Thammasat Liberal Arts Association, Assoc. Prof. Khunying Wongjan Pinainitisart, Chairman of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, and Mr.Thanakorn Seriburi, the representative from the Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Co.,Ltd., and the executive of the IconSiam Shopping Mall, attended to receive the royal visit. Following the reception, there was a performance by the students of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, and the students from the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, as well as an exhibition of the “Kaew Galaya: Sino-Thai Friendship” which included a section on the biography of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana and her contributions to the promotion of Sino-Thai cultural exchange and cooperation in mathematics and science education.

     HRH Princess Sirindhorn proceeded to inaugurate the technology and innovation product exhibition by entrepreneurs from the Sino-Thai business cooperation network, through the coordination of Charoen Pokphand Group, including companies such as Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., MG Sales Thailand Co.,Ltd., Xiaomi Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., TCL Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Haier Electrical Appliances (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Soron Biotechnology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Smartech Motor Co., Ltd., MD Consumer Appliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Hikvision IOT (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Alibaba Cloud Thailand Co., Ltd.
