Thammasat Hosts ‘Researchers’ Honor Day 2025’ to Elevate Global Research
Thammasat Researchers’ Honor Day 2025 Reinforces Leadership in Research and Innovation for Society

On February 4, 2026, at Puey Ungphakorn Centenary Park, Thammasat University, Rangsit Center, the Research Administration Division of Thammasat University (TU-RAC) organized Thammasat University Researchers’ Honor Day 2025 to recognize personnel who have created academic works and innovations that are evident, contributing to the university’s reputation and playing a part in driving sustainable societal development. Thammasat University, for a “World-Class Research University,” strives to create knowledge, research, and innovation to address societal issues. “Researchers’ Honor Day 2025” celebrates the faculty and researchers whose achievements in research and innovation drive societal progress, earning national and international recognition.

Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, stated that in the past year, it has been a great source of pride to witness faculty and researchers producing outstanding work that concretely addresses societal needs. Innovations address infectious diseases, agriculture, and public health across all ages. These successes, recognized by prestigious domestic and international awards, strengthen our knowledge and capability, confirming our goal of societal improvement. “Research and innovation are considered vital assets and indicators that reflect the progress of the university towards being recognized as a leading institution both regionally and internationally. Today’s event is organized to honor and uplift the spirits of all faculty and researchers. I sincerely hope that all of you will join in conveying inspiration to the new generation of researchers, in order to continue the mission of creating a better society and guiding Thammasat University towards becoming a leading institution of the future,” Prof. Dr. Supasawad stated.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. M.L. Pinitbhand Paribatra, Vice Rector for Research and Innovation and Acting Director of TU–RAC, stated that Thammasat University is committed to driving itself to become a “World-Class Research University” by focusing on the integration of knowledge across disciplines, from the humanities and social sciences to science and technology, in order to create tangible innovations and generate a positive impact on society in a sustainable manner.
The primary mission of the university is to create a robust and efficient research ecosystem to support faculty and researchers in fully demonstrating their potential and creativity. This includes a variety of internal research funding support, the development of collaborative mechanisms with research support agencies, the enhancement of research and development standards and services, the establishment of collaborative networks with government, private sector, and social organizations, as well as the incubation of enterprises.
To advance research from “shelves to markets” and from “laboratories to the promotion of public policy,” reflecting the intent and commitment to enhance the development of academic knowledge into “knowledge that can be practically utilized,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. M.L. Pinitbhand reiterated.


This year, Thammasat University awarded honors to faculty members and researchers who have brought recognition to the university through their research. The awards were presented by Professor Dr. Suraphol Nitikraipot, Chairman of Thammasat University Council, and include the following awards:
1. 6 researchers appointed and granted the title of Professor,
2. 3 senior research scholars and outstanding technologists granted by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn,
3. 1 appointed Professor receiving higher salary tier,
4. 7 outstanding research awards,
5. 18 researchers receiving grant for large-scale projects through TU-RAC exceeding 20 million baht,


6. 23 awards of outstanding young lecturers or personnel as faculty members involved in research,
7. 3 honorary awards from external agencies,
8. 37 awards of Gold Medal of Honor and Gold Medal from National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT),
9. 3 awards of the National Research as outstanding research work (Excellent Level),
10. 12 awards as the World’s Top 2% Scientists, recognized for having the world’s highest citation publications in single recent year data,
and 11. 1 award as the World’s Top 2% Scientist, recognized for having the world’s highest citation publications in the category of Career-long data.
