FPH TU Welcomes GIDM India and ADPC to Enhance Global Industrial Safety and Emergency Preparedness
The Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University (FPH TU) was honored to welcome Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IAS (Retd.), Director General of the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM), and his delegation from India, together with representatives from the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), for a collaborative discussion held on 17 February 2026.
The meeting introduced the Knowledge and Learning Exchange Visit to Thailand on Industrial Safety and Emergency Preparedness under the INSPIRE Program. The visit aims to:
▪️Learn Thailand’s approaches to industrial safety and emergency preparedness.
▪️Review regulatory frameworks and coordination mechanisms.
▪️Explore practical models for adaptation to Gujarat.
The discussion fostered meaningful dialogue on strengthening academic–industry collaboration, enhancing emergency and disaster response systems, and advancing occupational health and safety standards in Thailand.
