Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with international partner organizations.

Thammasat University Strengthens Ties with Kobe University 

     From 19 to 20 December 2024, Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, visited Kobe University in Japan. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Masato Fujisawa, MD, President of Kobe University. 

     During the visit, both institutions expressed their mutual appreciation for the longstanding collaboration and close relationship they share. Discussions focused on expanding and deepening academic partnerships through joint activities and programs, reaffirming the strong bonds between Thammasat and Kobe University.

     On 20 December, Rector Supasawad, an alumnus of Kobe University, delivered a special guest lecture titled “Beyond Borders: Studying Political Science at Kobe University” as part of the Global Network Program Seminar. The lecture was attended by graduate students from the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS). Joining the session was Mrs. Phonenvanh Outhavong, Vice Minister of Lao PDR, who is also an alumnus of Kobe University, adding a unique dimension to the event. 

     In addition, Prof. Jun Matsunami from GSICS extended a warm invitation to Prof. Supasawad to deliver an online lecture in the field of Political Science, further fostering academic exchange between the two institutions. 

     This visit underscores the enduring partnership between Thammasat and Kobe University, marking another significant milestone in their collaborative journey and setting the stage for future academic endeavors.

     ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ เยือนมหาวิทยาลัยโกเบ ในประเทศญี่ปุ่น เมื่อวันที่ 19 -20 ธันวาคม 2567 โดยมี Prof. Masato Fujisawa, MD. อธิการบดีของโกเบให้การต้อนรับ โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แสดงความชื่นชมยินดีในความสัมพันธ์ที่ยาวนานของสองสถาบัน รวมถึงความร่วมมือในกิจกรรมที่ทำร่วมกันมาโดยตลอด ซึ่งการหารือนี้ ได้มุ่งเน้นเรื่องการขยายความร่วมมือผ่านกิจกรรม

     ในวันที่ 20 ธันวาคม นั้น ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ ในฐานะศิษย์เก่าของโกเบ ได้รับเชิญให้บรรยายพิเศษ หัวข้อ “Beyond Borders: Studying Political Science at Kobe University” ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการประชุมสัมมนาเครือข่ายนานาชาติ (the Global Network Program Seminar) โดยมีนักศึกษาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาจาก the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) เข้ารับฟังบรรยาย ในโอกาสนี้ Mrs. Phonenvanh Outhavong ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรี จากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ซึ่งเป็นศิษย์เก่าของโกเบ เข้าร่วมสัมมนาและรับฟังบรรยายดังกล่าวด้วย

     นอกจากนี้ Prof. Jun Matsunami จาก GSICS ได้เชิญอธิการบดีธรรมศาสตร์ ร่วมบรรยายแบบออนไลน์ ในสาขาวิชารัฐศาสตร์ ซึ่งนับได้ว่าเป็นการสนับสนุนการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการของทั้งสองมหาวิทยาลัย และการเยือนครั้งนี้ เป็นการตอกย้ำความเป็นคู่สัญญาที่ยั่งยืนระหว่างธรรมศาสตร์และโกเบ รวมถึงการสร้างความร่วมมือที่ดีตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา เพื่อพัฒนาเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างความมั่นคงทางวิชาการร่วมกันในอนาคต

Thammasat and China Foreign Affairs University explore mutual collaboration

     On 17 January 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs at Thammasat University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaiwat Meesanthan, Director of the Institute of East Asian Studies, hosted a high-level bilateral discussion with Ambassador WANG Shiting, CPC Committee Secretary, and senior executives from China Foreign Affairs University. The meeting took place at the Institute of East Asian Studies, Thammasat University’s Rangsit Campus.

     The discussion focused on key topics, including Chinese modernization and the development of a China-Thailand Community of Shared Future. Both parties also explored avenues for deeper bilateral cooperation between the two universities, emphasizing the potential for joint academic initiatives and cultural exchanges.

     This meeting reaffirmed the strong and enduring ties between China and Thailand and highlighted opportunities for enhanced academic collaboration. Discussions encompassed student exchange programs, scholarship opportunities, and joint research initiatives, which are expected to pave the way for academic excellence and career development for students from both institutions.

     The collaboration between Thammasat University and China Foreign Affairs University marks a significant step toward fostering mutual understanding and academic growth, further strengthening the educational bonds between the two nations.

     เมื่อวันที่ 17 มกราคม 2568 มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ โดย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วย รศ. ดร.ชัยวัฒน์ มีสัณฐาน ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ศึกษา ให้การต้อนรับและหารือกับ Ambassador WANG Shiting, CPC Committee Secretary  และผู้บริหารระดับสูงจาก China Foreign Affairs University ณ สถาบันเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต

     การหารือมุ่งเน้นในเรื่อง Chinese modernization and the development of a China-Thailand Community of Shared Future โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความสนใจแนวทางความร่วมมือแบบทวิภาคีระหว่างสองสถาบัน และให้ความสำคัญในการกิจกรรมทางวิชาการผนวกกับการแลกเปลี่ยนทางด้านวัฒนธรรมของสองประเทศ

     การพบและหารือครั้งนี้ ได้ตอกย้ำความความสัมพันธ์ที่เข้มแข็งและยาวนานระหว่างประเทศจีนและไทย อีกทั้งเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการริเริ่มความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างสองมหาวิทยาลัย ได้แก่ การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและการทำวิจัยร่วมกัน ซึ่งเป็นลู่ทางในการสนับสนุนความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการและการส่งเสริมความก้าวหน้าด้านอาชีพ การทำงานของนักศึกษาของสองหน่วยงานในอนาคต โดยความร่วมมือระหว่างธรรมศาสตร์ และ China Foreign Affairs University จะเป็นก้าวสำคัญของการพัฒนาทางวิชาการและสร้างความเข้มแข็งของความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาระหว่างกัน

Mexican Ambassador to Thailand Pays Courtesy Call on Thammasat University Rector 

     On 17 December 2024, H.E. Ms. Ilse Lilian Ferrer Silva, Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, at the Rangsit Campus. This visit, marking the Ambassador’s recent assumption of duty, served to reaffirm the long-standing friendly relations between Mexico and Thammasat University.

     Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, joined the Rector in welcoming the Ambassador. Also accompanying the Ambassador were Mr. Miguel Angel George Cruz, First Secretary in charge of Cooperation, Education, and Cultural Affairs, and Mr. Kittipong Nasaiya, Secretary to the Ambassador.

     During the meeting, the Ambassador highlighted the Embassy’s commitment to fostering collaboration between Thammasat University and leading universities in Mexico. She emphasized potential joint initiatives, including exchange and visiting programs for professors, faculty members, and students in key areas such as medical tourism, Latin American studies, and gender issues.

     H.E. Ms. Ilse Lilian Ferrer Silva also announced the availability of two Diplomacy Scholarships exclusively for Thammasat students. The Rector expressed his gratitude and welcomed the opportunity to share this scholarship information with prospective students, particularly through the Faculty of Political Science.

     เมื่อวันที่ 17 ธันวาคม 2567 H.E. Ms. Ilse Lilian Ferrer Silva เอกอัครราชทูตเม็กซิโกประจำประเทศไทย เยี่ยมคารวะ ศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ในโอกาสที่เข้ารับหน้าที่และเพื่อยกกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเม็กซิโกและธรรมศาสตร์ โดยมี รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ร่วมต้อนรับ ในการนี้ ผู้แทนจากสถานทูตเม็กโกประจำเทศไทยติดตามในการเยือน ได้แก่ Mr. Miguel Angel George Cruz เลขานุการเอก ฝ่ายด้านความร่วมมือ การศึกษาและวัฒนธรรม และ Mr. Kittipong Nasaiya เลขานุการของท่านเอกอัครราชทูตฯ

     ในระหว่างการหารือ ท่านเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ตอกย้ำการสนับสนุนความร่วมมือระหว่างธรรมศาสตร์และมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำในเม็กซิโก และให้ความสำคัญการริเริ่มกิจกรรมร่วมกัน เช่น โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา และอาจารย์ ในสาขาการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ ลาตินอเมริกาศึกษาและเพศวิถีศึกษา  

     นอกจากนี้ H.E. Ms. Ilse Lilian Ferrer Silva แจ้งเรื่องทุนการศึกษาด้านการทูต จำนวน 2 ทุน ซึ่งอธิการบดีธรรมศาสตร์ จะประสานแจ้งไปยังคณะรัฐศาสตร์ เพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์ไปยังนักศึกษาที่สนใจต่อไป

Thammasat University Explores Internship Opportunities in Japan with Daio Kaiun Recruit 

     On 17 December 2024, Dr. Usanee Lertrattananon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs at Thammasat University, met with Mr. Seiki Ozaki, Director, and Mr. Keiki, Corporate Advisor from Daio Kaiun Recruit in Japan, at the university’s Rangsit Campus. The meeting was also attended by Vice Deans, Assistant Deans, and professional staff from the Faculties of Engineering, Sciences and Technology, and the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT). 

     The discussion focused on enhancing internship opportunities for Thammasat students in Japan, particularly in the fields of engineering and science. Key highlights included free online Japanese language training and a four-month internship program with a stipend, aimed at providing students with practical experience and cross-cultural exposure. 

     This meeting represents a significant milestone in fostering international collaboration and enriching the professional prospects of Thammasat students. By partnering with Daio Kaiun Recruit, Thammasat University reaffirms its commitment to equipping students with global competencies and real-world experiences, paving the way for future academic and career success.

     เมื่อวันที่ 17 ธันวาคม 2567 ดร.อุษณีษ์ เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมกับรองคณบดี ผู้ช่วยคณบดี จากคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีนานาชาติสิรินธร ต้อนรับและหารือกับ Mr. Seiki Ozaki ผู้อำนวยการ พร้อมด้วย Mr. Keiki ที่ปรึกษาด้านธุรกิจจากบริษัท Daio Kaiun Recruit ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งระหว่างการต้อนรับ ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต

     การหารือมุ่งเน้นการทำความร่วมมือภายใต้โครงการฝึกงาน ณ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น สำหรับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในสาขาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ รวมถึงการจัดการเรียนภาษาญี่ปุ่นออนไลน์แบบไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายเพื่อให้นักศึกษามีความพร้อมที่จะทำงานกับบริษัทญี่ปุ่น และโครงการฝึกงาน ระยะเวลา 4 เดือน โดยได้รับค่าสนับสนุนค่าใช้จ่ายระหว่างฝึกงาน เพื่อสนับสนุนนักศึกษาให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและประสบการณ์ชีวิตใหม่ ๆ  

     การพบและหารือครั้งนี้ จะเป็นจุดสำคัญของการเริ่มต้นความร่วมมือในระดับนานาชาติในการพัฒนาความรู้ ทักษะและความชำนาญงานของนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ และเป็นการเน้นย้ำภารกิจของธรรมศาสตร์ในการผลักดันนักศึกษาให้มีสมรรถนะความสามารถในระดับสากลเพื่อเป็นแนวทางการสร้างความสำเร็จด้านอาชีพและวิชาการในอนาคต

Thammasat University Welcomes Delegation from Bhutan’s Higher Education Quality Council 

     On 18 December 2024, Thammasat University’s Rangsit Campus hosted a delegation from Bhutan’s Higher Education Quality Council (HEQC) and the Qualifications and Professionals Certification Authority (BQPCA), operating under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development. The delegation was led by Dr. Ugyen Tshewang, Director of HEQC, and included senior officials from the organization. 

     The delegation was warmly received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Danupun Visuwan, Vice Rector for Planning and Quality Development, along with the Assistant to the Rector for Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing. 

     During the meeting, representatives from HEQC and BQPCA provided a comprehensive overview of Bhutan’s educational quality assurance framework. They highlighted their efforts to enhance Bhutan’s educational system to meet international standards. In response, Thammasat delegates presented an outline of the university’s quality assurance processes, showcasing the use of the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) model to maintain and improve academic excellence. 

     The session included a productive exchange of ideas, where both sides shared insights into their respective strengths and explored areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration. 

     Dr. Ugyen Tshewang extended a cordial invitation to Thammasat University executives to apply for roles as International Assessors, a move that could further strengthen cooperation between HEQC, BQPCA, and Thammasat University. 

     This visit signifies a step forward in fostering academic collaboration and mutual understanding between Thammasat University and Bhutan’s educational quality authorities, paving the way for meaningful partnerships in the future.

ธรรมศาสตร์ ต้อนรับผู้แทน Bhutan’s Higher Education Quality Council  

     เมื่อวันที่ 18 ธันวาคม 2567 มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ โดย รศ. ดร.ดนุพันธ์ วิสุวรรณ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวางแผนและพัฒนาคุณภาพ พร้อมด้วยผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิชาการ และคณบดีคณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับผู้แทนจาก Bhutan’s Higher Education Quality Council (HEQC), the Qualifications and Professionals Certification Authority (BQPCA) ภายใต้การดำเนินงานของกระทรวงการศึกษาและพัฒนาทักษะ ประเทศภูฏาน นำโดย Dr. Ugyen Tshewang, Director of HEQC และเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงของหน่วยงาน 

     ระหว่างการหารือ ผู้แทนจาก HEQC และ BQPCA นำเสนอข้อมูลภาพรวมของระบบประเมินกรอบคุณภาพการศึกษา บทบาทหน้าที่การพัฒนาขีดความสามารถของสถาบัน เพื่อการยกระดับมาตรฐานการศึกษาของภูฏานให้ทัดเทียมระดับสากล และฝ่ายธรรมศาสตร์ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลกรอบการทำงานและระบบด้านประกันคุณภาพ รวมถึงการใช้ Performance Excellence หรือ EdPEx ในการทำงานด้านประเมินคุณภาพการศึกษาเพื่อความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการ

     นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็น ข้อเสนอแนะของการทำงาน และหาแนวทางการทำงานให้ได้มาซึ่งผลลัพธ์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพภายใต้ความร่วมมือของสองสถาบัน เพื่อเป็นการจุดเริ่มของการสร้างความร่วมมือ Dr. Ugyen Tshewang ได้เชิญผู้แทนจากธรรมศาสตร์สมัครเป็น International Assessors ให้กับ HEQC และ BQPCA เพื่อเป็นคณะผู้ประเมินคุณภาพการศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษาของภูฏาน
