Japanese Delegates from Kitakyushu Convention Bureau Visit Thammasat University 

     On 13 December 2024, Ms. Hiroko Imanaga and Mr. Yota Higashi, managers from the Kitakyushu Convention Bureau in Japan, visited Thammasat University’s Rangsit Campus. They were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and the Office of International Affairs (OIA) Coordinator for Asia. 

     The visit also aimed to explore potential collaboration with Thammasat University, particularly in facilitating the organization of an international conference in Japan. The delegation emphasized their interest in leveraging Thammasat’s expertise to foster academic and cultural exchange through such events. 

     The visit marks a promising step toward strengthening ties between Thammasat University and the Kitakyushu Convention Bureau, paving the way for future collaborative initiatives.

     เมื่อวันที่ 13 ธันวาคม 2567 Ms. Hiroko Imanaga พร้อมด้วย Mr. Yota Higashi ผู้จัดการของ the Kitakyushu Convention Bureau จากประเทศญี่ปุ่น เยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต ให้การต้อนรับโดย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคเอเชีย กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ โดยหารือความเป็นไปได้ในการทำความร่วมมือกัน โดยเฉพาะด้านระบบการจัดการและอำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับองค์กรในญี่ปุ่นในการจัดประชุมนานาชาติ ซึ่งอาคันตุกะ ให้ความสนใจอย่างมากกับความเชี่ยวชาญและมีประสิทธิภาพของธรรมศาสตร์ ที่ผลักดันความเป็นวิชาการผสมผสานกับการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมผ่านกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ

Thammasat and Ochanomizu Strengthen Academic Ties

     On 2 December 2024, Prof. Sasaki Yasuko, President of Ochanomizu University in Japan, accompanied by high-level executives, visited Thammasat University’s Tha Prachan campus. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, along with the OIA Coordinator for Asia.

     The primary goal of the visit was to explore and expand academic collaboration between Thammasat and Ochanomizu universities. Discussions centered on potential initiatives such as student exchange programs, Double-degree and Joint-degree programs, the Inter-University Exchange Project, and the Practice-based EDI Program + Global Internship.

     เมื่อวันที่ 2 ธันวาคม 2567 Prof. Sasaki Yasuko อธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัย Ochanomizu ประเทศญี่ปุ่น พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารระดับสูง เยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ ให้การต้อนรับโดย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคเอเชียของกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการขยายความร่วมมือระหว่างสองสถาบัน ด้านโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา หลักสูตร Double-degree และ Joint-degree programs รวมถึงโครงการ the Inter-University Exchange Project และ the Practice-based EDI Program + Global Internship

Thammasat and Johns Hopkins Seek Further Collaboration 

     On 22 November 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dumrong Adunyarittigun, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Thammasat University, led a delegation comprising Deans and Associate Deans from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, the Faculty of Learning Science and Education, the School of Global Studies, and the College of Innovation to meet with Ms. Cecilia Chen, Global Marketing Director of the International Teaching and Global Leadership (ITGL) program at Johns Hopkins University. The meeting, held at Thammasat University’s Rangsit campus, also included officials from the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. 

     Discussions focused on potential collaboration between the two universities, particularly in areas such as co-funded research for bilingual students and opportunities for visiting academic staff for six to seven months. Additionally, the Associate Dean from the College of Innovation pointed out that the recent theme of the IACIO Annual Conference (17-19 November 2024), “AI Strategic Transformation Principles and Practices for CIOs,” reflects Johns Hopkins' interest. He cordially extended an invitation to the Johns Hopkins delegation to join the next AI conference in Thailand.

     เมื่อวันที่ 22 พฤศจิกายน 2567 รศ. ดร.ดำรงค์ อดุลยฤทธิกุล รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิชาการ พร้อมด้วยคณบดีและรองคณบดีจากคณะศิลปศาสตร์ คณะวิทยาการเรียนรู้และศึกษาศาสตร์ วิทยาลัยโลกคดีศึกษา วิทยาลัยนวัตกรรม ต้อนรับและหารือกับ Ms. Cecilia Chen ผู้อำนวยการด้านการตลาด โครงการ the International Teaching and Global Leadership (ITGL) program ประจำมหาวิทยาลัย Johns Hopkins และเจ้าหน้าที่จากสถานทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต โดยหารือเพื่อการหาแนวทางการทำความร่วมมือ โดยเฉพาะการทำงานวิจัยรูปแบบ co-funded research เพื่อการสร้างหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษา bilingual ให้สามารถใช้ภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาท้องถิ่นได้

Thammasat and Busan University of Foreign Studies enhance the AIMS program

     On 12 November 2024, Dr. Usanee Lertrattananon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs and coordinator for the AIMS program at the Office of International Affairs (OIA), welcomed Ms. Nana, Vice Director of Student Exchange Programs for Indonesia and Malay Studies, and Mr. Seunghoon (William) Lee, AIMS Coordinator from Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS) in the Republic of Korea, at Thammasat University's Tha Prachan Campus.

     The visit focused on expanding student exchanges through the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Program, aiming to increase student mobility and strengthen regional collaboration. The discussion included exploring additional partnership opportunities, such as joint research initiatives and new academic activities, to deepen ties between Thammasat University and BUFS.

     เมื่อวันที่ 12 พฤศจิกายน 2567 ดร.อุษณีษ์ เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วยผู้ประสานงานโครงการ AIMS กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ต้อนรับและหารือกับ Ms. Nana รองผู้อำนวยการ โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาสาขาอินโดนีเซียและมาเลเซียศึกษา และ Mr. Seunghoon (William) ผู้ประสานงานโครงการ AIMS จากมหาวิทยาลัย Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS) สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เพื่อขยายความร่วมมือด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาภายใต้โครงการ the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Program นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือโอกาสการทำความร่วมมือภายใต้การเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยคู่สัญญา เช่น การทำวิจัย การสัมมนาร่วม และกิจกรรมทางวิชาการ

Thammasat and Sciences Po expand collaboration

     Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, along with the OIA Coordinator for Europe, met with Ms. Pauline Couteau, International Affairs Manager for Central and South-East Asia, South Korea, Japan, and the Pacific from Sciences Po Paris, during her visit to Thammasat University’s Rangsit campus on 4 November 2024. This meeting followed their initial discussions at the EAIE 2024 conference held in Toulouse, France, in September.

     The visit aimed to strengthen academic collaboration between Thammasat University and Sciences Po, focusing on opportunities in the Thammasat Summer Program and the Visiting Faculty Program for 2025-2026. Thammasat representatives provided key information on dormitories, cost of living, application requirements, and student activities to support Sciences Po students interested in gaining global educational experiences at Thammasat University.

Thuyloi and Thammasat explore partnership

     Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and the OIA Coordinator for Asia welcomed Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Nguyen Mai Dang, Dean of the School of International Education at Thuyloi University in Vietnam, during their visit to Thammasat University's Rangsit campus on 22 October 2024.

     The Thuyloi delegates expressed strong interest in exploring collaborative opportunities with Thammasat, particularly through joint research initiatives. They discussed the possibility of expanding academic partnerships at the faculty level with the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT). Additionally, the Thuyloi representatives extended a warm invitation to the Thammasat delegation to visit their campus in November 2024, as part of celebrations marking Thuyloi University's 65th anniversary.

Thammasat and Bristol explore collaboration

     On 21 October 2024, executives from the University of Bristol, UK, visited the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Thammasat University’s Tha Prachan campus. The delegation met with the OIA Director and the OIA Coordinator for Europe, where they were warmly introduced to Thammasat University’s academic and international engagement framework.

The visit aimed to explore potential collaborative opportunities between Thammasat and the University of Bristol across three primary areas. These include:

   1. Educational Partnerships: Discussions centered around establishing structured academic programs such as the 3+1, 2+1, 1+1, 2+2, and 3+1+1 models, which allow students to split their studies between the two institutions for enhanced global exposure.

   2. Student Mobility Programs: Both universities explored avenues for student exchanges within several prominent faculties at Thammasat, namely the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat Business School, and the College of Innovation.

   3. Academic Engagement: Potential collaboration was discussed around joint workshops, guest lectures, faculty exchanges, and co-research initiatives, aimed at fostering shared knowledge and innovation between the institutions.

Bristol หารือธรรมศาสตร์ สร้างความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ

     ในวันที่ 21 ตุลาคม 2567 คณะผู้แทนจาก the University of Bristol สหราชอาณาจักร เข้าพบหารือกับผู้อำนวยการกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคยุโรป พร้อมรับทราบข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการทำงานด้านวิชาการและความเป็นนานาชาติ ณ กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์

การเยือนครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหารือความเป็นไปได้ในการทำความร่วมมือกับมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ใน 3 ด้าน ได้แก่

   1. ด้านการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยคู่สัญญา โดยหารือการจัดทำข้อตกลงทางวิชาการ และโปรแกรมการศึกษา รูปแบบ 3+1, 2+1, 1+1, 2+2 และ 3+1+1 เพื่อสนับสนุนนักศึกษาได้มีโอกาสศึกษาทั้งในไทยและสหราชอาณาจักร และการเก็บเกี่ยวประสบการณ์ในต่างประเทศ

   2. ด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา โดยเฉพาะโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและโครงการระยะสั้น หรือภาคฤดูร้อน ทั้งนี้ ฝ่าย Bristol จะขอหารืออีกครั้งกับคณะพาณิชยศาสตร์และการบัญชี คณะเศรษฐศาสตร์ คณะนิติศาสตร์ คณะรัฐศาสตร์ และวิทยาลัยนวัตกรรม

   3. ด้านความร่วมมือทางวิชาการอื่น ๆ เช่น การประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ แลกเปลี่ยนอาจารย์ อาจารย์รับเชิญการทำวิจัยร่วม เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และนวัตกรรมระหว่างสองสถาบัน
