Leaders of Thammasat and Cheongju University Co-sign MOU.

   On 20 January 2026, Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, welcomed Dr. Kim Yoon-Bae, President of Cheongju University of the Republic of Korea, for an official meeting at Thammasat’s Rangsit campus.

     Joining the Rector in the discussions were the Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, along with executives from the Faculties of Science and Technology, Allied Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Korean delegation included the former Korean Ambassador to Portugal, a First Secretary from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand, and administrative staff from the Office of International Affairs at Cheongju University.

   During the meeting, the two universities explored prospective avenues for cooperation within a bilateral academic framework. Key areas of discussion included student and faculty exchanges, internship opportunities, and joint academic initiatives. In particular, the Faculty of Science and Technology has expressed strong interest in developing collaborative academic activities in Food Science, with a focus on kimchi studies, food innovation, and fermentation technology.

     Following the meeting, Thammasat and Cheongju University marked a significant milestone by formally signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), co-signed by the Rector of Thammasat University and the President of Cheongju University. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic collaboration across key disciplines.

   Through this MOU, students and faculty from both institutions will benefit from expanded opportunities for international engagement, academic collaboration and cross-cultural exchange.

    เมื่อวันที่ 20 มกราคม 2569 ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับ Dr. Kim Yoon-Bae อธิการบดี Cheongju University สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ในการหารือด้านความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต โดยมี อ. ดร.อุษณีษ์ ปฐพีศรีกิจส เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มธ. พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารจากคณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี คณะสหเวชศาสตร์ และคณะเภสัชศาสตร์ รวมถึงอดีตเอกอัครราชทูตเกาหลีประจำประเทศโปรตุเกส เลขานุการเอกจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีประจำประเทศไทย และเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์จาก Cheongju University เข้าร่วมฯ

     โดยหารือถึงแนวทางความร่วมมือที่เป็นไปได้ภายใต้กรอบความร่วมมือทางวิชาการแบบทวิภาคี โดยมุ่งเน้นประเด็นสำคัญ ได้แก่ การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและคณาจารย์ โอกาสในการฝึกงาน ตลอดจนการดำเนินโครงการทางวิชาการร่วมกัน ทั้งนี้ ผู้แทนจากคณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี ได้แสดงความสนใจในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือด้านวิทยาศาสตร์การอาหาร โดยเฉพาะการศึกษากระบวนการผลิตกิมจิ รวมถึงนวัตกรรมอาหาร และการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีในการหมักและถนอมอาหาร

     ทั้งนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และ Cheongju University ได้ร่วมลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจทางวิชาการ (Memorandum of Understanding: MOU) เพื่อกำหนดกรอบและทิศทางอย่างเป็นทางการ สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในสาขาที่สำคัญ อันจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อนักศึกษาและคณาจารย์ในการขยายโอกาสด้านการศึกษา ความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในระดับนานาชาติ และการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ข้ามวัฒนธรรม

Ambassador of Israel to Thailand Pays Courtesy Call on Thammasat Rector.

     On 28 January 2026, Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Thailand, on the occasion of her assumption of duty and introductory visit. The Ambassador was accompanied by senior officials from the Israeli Embassy. The welcoming meeting was also attended by Thammasat University’s Vice Rector and the Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs.

     The visit aimed to explore potential avenues for academic cooperation between Thammasat and academic institutions in Israel, with particular emphasis on joint seminars, collaborative research, short-term academic programs and other cooperative initiatives.

   During the discussion, the Rector highlighted the importance of internship opportunities at the undergraduate level across all disciplines to enhance students’ practical experience and career readiness. He also emphasized Thammasat University’s interest in strengthening knowledge and research capacity in the fields of agriculture and medical technology, areas that align closely with Israel’s recognized expertise. 

   The Assistant to the Rector further noted Thammasat’s strong commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and expressed the University’s readiness to collaborate on SDG-related activities.

    This visit represented a significant step in strengthening educational and academic ties between Thammasat and institutions in Israel.

เอกอัครราชทูตอิสราเอลประจำประเทศไทย หารือแนวทางความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์กับสถาบันการศึกษาในอิสราเอล

     เมื่อวันที่ 28 มกราคม 2569 ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับ H.E. Ms. Alona Fisher-Kamm เอกอัครราชทูตรัฐอิสราเอลประจำประเทศไทย ในการเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะเนื่องในโอกาสรับหน้าที่ใหม่และเพื่อแนะนำตัว โดยมีเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ร่วมเข้าพบ โดยมี รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และ อ. ดร.อุษณีษ์ ปฐพีศรีกิจส เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ โดยได้หารือแนวทางความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์กับสถาบันการศึกษาในประเทศอิสราเอล มุ่งเน้นความร่วมมือด้านการจัดสัมมนาร่วม การวิจัยร่วม โครงการทางวิชาการระยะสั้น และกิจกรรมความร่วมมือในรูปแบบอื่น ๆ

     ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ ได้เน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของโอกาสการฝึกงานในระดับปริญญาตรีในทุกสาขาวิชา เพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์เชิงปฏิบัติและความพร้อมในการประกอบอาชีพของนักศึกษา นอกจากนี้ ยังได้แสดงความสนใจในการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพด้านองค์ความรู้และการวิจัยในธรรมศาสตร์ โดยเฉพาะสาขาเกษตรกรรมและเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์ ซึ่งเป็นสาขาที่สอดคล้องกับความเชี่ยวชาญของประเทศอิสราเอลที่ได้รับการยอมรับ

     นอกจากนี้ รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ ได้กล่าวเพิ่มเติมถึงแนวทางของมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ในการสนับสนุนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนขององค์การสหประชาชาติ (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs) และแสดงความพร้อมในการร่วมดำเนินกิจกรรมร่วมกันที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ SDGs

     การเข้าพบหารือในครั้งนี้นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาและวิชาการระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์กับสถาบันการศึกษาในประเทศอิสราเอล

Thammasat and Cambridge U. Press & Assessment Strengthen Collaboration to Elevate Thailand’s Admissions Standards.

     On 27 January 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, welcomed Ms. Alicia Foo, Regional Manager for Higher Education (Southeast Asia & Pacific), International Education, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, to Thammasat’s Tha Prachan’s campus. The meeting was attended by senior executives and representatives from Thammasat Business School and Pridi Banomyong International College.

    The discussion focused on exploring the potential alignment of Cambridge Assessment International Education standards with Thailand’s university admissions system. Cambridge University Press & Assessment also presented its range of support services for higher education institutions, including assessment solutions, admissions guidance, academic resources, and evaluation frameworks.

     Both parties exchanged perspectives on international education standards and discussed opportunities to strengthen institutional collaboration. The dialogue emphasized supporting globally recognized admissions practices, enhancing mutual understanding, and identifying pathways for Thai higher education institutions to adopt internationally benchmarked standards.

     The visit signifies a significant step in advancing academic collaboration between Thammasat University and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, contributing to the ongoing development and internationalization of Thailand’s university admissions system.

     เมื่อวันที่ 27 มกราคม 2569 รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มธ. ให้การต้อนรับ  Ms. Alicia Foo ตำแหน่ง Regional Manager for Higher Education (Southeast Asia & Pacific) ฝ่าย International Education จาก Cambridge University Press & Assessment ระหว่างการเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ โดยมีผู้บริหารจากคณะพาณิชยศาสตร์และการบัญชี และวิทยาลัยนานาชาติปรีดี พนมยงค์ ร่วมต้อนรับ

     การหารือมุ่งเน้นการหาแนวทางที่สำคัญในการเทียบเคียงมาตรฐานการคัดเลือกเข้ารับการศึกษาของ Cambridge Assessment International Education และระบบของประเทศไทย ทั้งนี้ ผู้แทนของ Cambridge ได้นำเสนอชุดข้อมูลการสนับสนุนบริการด้านวิชาการในสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ได้แก่ การประเมินผล แนวทางการรับสมัคร แหล่งทรัพยากรทางวิชาการ และการประเมินคุณภาพต่าง ๆ

     ทั้งสองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับมาตรฐานการศึกษาระดับนานาชาติ และหารือถึงโอกาสในการสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างสองสถาบัน โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการสนับสนุนแนวปฏิบัติด้านการรับเข้าศึกษาที่เป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับสากล และการส่งเสริมความเข้าใจไปในทิศทางเดียวกัน รวมถึงการแสวงหาแนวทางสำหรับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไทยในการนำมาตรฐานที่อ้างอิงตามเกณฑ์ระดับนานาชาติมาปรับใช้ได้อย่างเหมาะสม

Thammasat Meets NAMA Women Advancement to Explore Partnership Opportunities.

     On 2 February 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kosum-Omphornuwat, Director of the Master of Arts Program in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, welcomed Ms. Meera Shaheen, Gender Equity & International Programs Executive, and Ms. Lawratou Bah, International Programs Expert from NAMA Women Advancement in the United Arab Emirates, to Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus.

     The meeting began with an overview from the NAMA delegates, who introduced the organization’s mission and key initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and gender equity. They highlighted programs that support women pursuing higher education, particularly in STEM, health, and social sciences. NAMA also presented its international funding mechanisms through the NAMA Fund, which include Endowment Scholarships and Research Grants.

     The NAMA representatives expressed interest in exploring potential partnerships with Thammasat, with a particular focus on scholarship opportunities in STEM fields and gender equity initiatives. In response, The Vice Rector reaffirmed Thammasat’s commitment to promoting equal opportunities for people of all gender identities, noting the strong alignment between the university’s values and NAMA’s mission. He also proposed that the OIA serve as the main coordinating body in Thailand, facilitating connections with other relevant Thai organizations as needed. 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Kosum-Omphornuwat further discussed the possibility of coordinating scholarship opportunities for Thammasat graduate students, signaling a promising direction for future collaboration between the two institutions.

     รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มธ. พร้อมด้วย ผศ. ดร.โกสุม โอมพรนุวัฒน์ ผู้อำนวยการหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาสตรี เพศสถานะ และเพศวิถีศึกษา วิทยาลัยสหวิทยาการ ให้การต้อนรับ Ms. Meera Shaheen, Gender Equity & International Programs Executive และ Ms. Lawratou Bah, International Programs Expert จาก NAMA Women Advancement ในสหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ เมื่อวันที่ 2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์

   ผู้แทนของ NAMA ได้แนะนำหน่วยงานและภารกิจสำคัญที่มุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริมพลังสตรีและความเสมอภาคทางเพศ โดยเน้นย้ำถึงโครงการที่สนับสนุนสตรีในการศึกษาต่อระดับอุดมศึกษา โดยเฉพาะในสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี วิศวกรรมและคณิตศาสตร์ (STEM) วิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ และสังคมศาสตร์ นอกจากนี้ NAMA ยังได้นำเสนอรูปแบบการสนับสนุนทุนในระดับนานาชาติผ่านกองทุน NAMA Fund ซึ่งประกอบด้วยทุนการศึกษาแบบกองทุนถาวร (Endowment Scholarships) และทุนสนับสนุนงานวิจัย (Research Grants)
