At present, the country’s social, economic and educational situations are constantly changing due to rapid economic, political, social, technological and cultural changes taking place as a result of globalization. These changes have resulted in the enhancement of sciences and technologies, which are increasing demand for people who are knowledgeable in theoretical and applied mathematics. Because the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the Faculty of Science and Technology recognizes this demand, the department has launched the Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics to enhance knowledge development capabilities and mathematics capabilities of doctor of philosophy students in line with international standards. Doctors of philosophy who complete this program can work as professors, researchers, scientists and consultants at academic or business institutions.
