Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with academic partnership network.

Ambassador of Indonesia to Thailand Pays Courtesy Call on Thammasat Rector

     On 9 June 2026, Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, welcomed H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand, on the occasion of his introductory courtesy visit following his assumption of office. The Ambassador was accompanied by senior officials from the Indonesian Embassy. The meeting was also attended by Thammasat University’s Vice Rector for International Affairs.

     The visit reaffirmed the longstanding Strategic Partnership between Indonesia and Thailand while highlighting the strong and dynamic relationship between Thammasat University and the Embassy of Indonesia through ongoing academic and cultural cooperation. In line with the Embassy’s policy of strengthening academic engagement, Ambassador Hari emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration in higher education, particularly in the fields of STEM and health sciences. The Rector noted that Thammasat is well-positioned to support such initiatives through its leading academic and healthcare institutions, including Thammasat Hospital, Thammasat Medical Center, the Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, and the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

     During the discussion, the Ambassador introduced the LPDP (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan), a prestigious, fully-funded scholarship program administered by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. The program supports Indonesian students pursuing Master’s or Doctoral degrees at leading international universities worldwide. The Ambassador expressed hope that Thammasat University would consider providing tuition support or other financial incentives to further encourage Indonesian students to pursue graduate studies at the University. He also extended an invitation for Thammasat to participate in Indonesian Day 2026, which will be held this August.

     In response, the Rector highlighted several potential avenues for future collaboration, including Dual Degree programs, 3+2 academic pathways, and cooperation under the LPDP program. The Vice Rector for International Affairs also introduced the AIMS (Asian International Mobility for Students) Program as an additional platform for promoting student mobility and academic exchange between Thammasat University and Indonesian higher education institutions.

     The visit underscored the Embassy’s role as a valued strategic partner in supporting Thammasat’s continued efforts to expand its international academic collaboration and strengthen its global network.

     เมื่อวันที่ 9 มิถุนายน 2569 ศ. ดร.ศุภสวัสดิ์ ชัชวาลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับ H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo เอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสรับหน้าที่ใหม่ โดยมีผู้แทนระดับสูงจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียร่วมด้วย

     การเยือนครั้งนี้เพื่อเป็นการเน้นย้ำความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์อันยาวนานระหว่างอินโดนีเซียและไทย พร้อมทั้งสะท้อนความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นและการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์กับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซีย ผ่านความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมที่ดำเนินมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง

     เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการขยายความร่วมมือด้านการอุดมศึกษา โดยเฉพาะในสาขา STEM คือ การบูรณาการความรู้ระหว่าง 4 สาขาวิชา ได้แก่ วิทยาศาสตร์ (Science) เทคโนโลยี (Technology) วิศวกรรมศาสตร์ (Engineering) และคณิตศาสตร์ (Mathematics) รวมถึงวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ

     นอกจากนี้ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ แสดงจุดยืนความพร้อมที่จะให้การสนับสนุนความร่วมมือ เนื่องด้วยสถาบันมีหน่วยงานด้านการแพทย์ชั้นนำของมหาวิทยาลัย อาทิ โรงพยาบาลธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ ศูนย์การแพทย์ธรรมศาสตร์ วิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์นานาชาติจุฬาภรณ์ และคณะสหเวชศาสตร์

     ในการหารือครั้งนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แนะนำโครงการ LPDP (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan) ซึ่งเป็นโครงการทุนการศึกษาแบบเต็มจำนวน ภายใต้การดำเนินการของกระทรวงการคลังแห่งสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นสนับสนุนนักศึกษาอินโดนีเซียเพื่อศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาโทและเอก ณ มหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำทั่วโลก พร้อมทั้ง หารือความเป็นไปได้ในการสนับสนุนยกเว้นค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษาหรือด้านอื่น ๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาอินโดนีเซียมีโอกาสเข้าศึกษาต่อในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาที่ธรรมศาสตร์มากยิ่งขึ้น นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เชิญมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์เข้าร่วมงาน Indonesian Day 2026 ซึ่งมีกำหนดจัดขึ้นในเดือนสิงหาคมนี้

     อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ได้ให้แนวทางความร่วมมือในอนาคตหลายด้าน อาทิ หลักสูตรปริญญาร่วม (Dual Degree Program) หลักสูตรการศึกษาแบบ 3+2 และความร่วมมือภายใต้โครงการทุนการศึกษา LPDP ขณะเดียวกัน รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ได้แนะนำโครงการ AIMS (Asian International Mobility for Students) ซึ่งเป็นอีกหนึ่งกลไกสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์กับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย

Thammasat and the University of New Mexico Expand Global Academic Opportunities

     On 19 June 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, warmly welcomed Dr. Nicole Tami, Executive Director of Global Education Initiatives, Global Education Office, at the University of New Mexico (UNM), USA, during her visit to the Office of International Affairs at Thammasat University, Tha Prachan.

     During the meeting, the UNM delegation introduced the university’s academic strengths and areas of excellence, particularly in Medicine, Engineering, Film and Digital Media, and Agriculture. Dr. Tami also presented UNM’s flagship Bridge Program, designed to upskill students to meet exchange program requirements. The delegation also highlighted the Amigo Scholarship, which provides financial support and opportunities for international students pursuing graduate degrees at UNM.

     To promote institutional collaboration, representatives from both universities agreed to pursue a university-level Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will lay the foundation for academic cooperation and facilitate two-way student and faculty exchanges.

     เมื่อวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน 2569 รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับ Dr. Nicole Tami ผู้อำนวยการบริหาร จากสำนักงานการศึกษานานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยนิวเม็กซิโก สหรัฐอเมริกา ระหว่างการเยือนกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์

     ผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัยนิวเม็กซิโก (UNM) ได้นำเสนอจุดแข็งทางวิชาการและความเป็นเลิศของมหาวิทยาลัย โดยเฉพาะในสาขาแพทยศาสตร์ วิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ภาพยนตร์และสื่อดิจิทัล และเกษตรศาสตร์ นอกจากนี้ ยังได้แนะนำ Bridge Program ซึ่งเป็นโครงการสำคัญของ UNM ที่ออกแบบมาเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะและยกระดับศักยภาพของนักศึกษาให้มีคุณสมบัติตรงตามข้อกำหนดของโครงการแลกเปลี่ยน และได้กล่าวถึงทุนการศึกษา Amigo Scholarship ซึ่งเป็นทุนที่สนับสนุนด้านการเงินและโอกาสทางการศึกษาแก่นักศึกษาต่างชาติที่ประสงค์ศึกษาต่อในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาที่มหาวิทยาลัยนิวเม็กซิโก (UNM) อีกด้วย

     ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องร่วมกันที่จะผลักดันการจัดทำบันทึกความเข้าใจ (Memorandum of Understanding: MOU) ในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งจะเป็นกรอบพื้นฐานสำหรับการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ และเอื้ออำนวยให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากรสายวิชาการระหว่างสองหน่วยงาน

Thammasat and UNSW Discuss Expanding Academic Ties

     On 23 June 2026, Thammasat University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr.Chayakrit Asvathitanont, Vice Rector for Human Resources, welcomed a delegation from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, at Thammasat’s Rangsit Center. Joining the meeting were executives from the Thammasat Institute of Area Studies (TIARA), a representative from the Thammasat School of Engineering, as well as the Counsellor and senior officials from the Australian Embassy.

     During the meeting, the UNSW delegation presented an overview of the university, highlighting its academic profile, student population, and a broad range of programs. They also showcased UNSW’s key strengths in applied education, applied research, and transnational education.

     In response, Thammasat presented its academic vision, teaching and research excellence, and strategic initiatives. The presentation also highlighted the Eastern Economic Corridor Medical Center (EECmd) at Thammasat’s Pattaya Campus, along with the Thammasat School of Engineering’s engineering and innovation programs offered within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

     Both universities acknowledged the success of the existing faculty-level collaboration with the Thammasat School of Engineering and expressed a shared commitment to expanding cooperation at the university-level. Potential areas of collaboration include joint and dual degree programs, UNSW Online global programs in Software Development and Cyber Security, professional credential programs, and blended learning pathways.

     The Thammasat delegation also expressed its interest in co-developing undergraduate and graduate programs, with a particular focus on capacity development through executive education and professional certificate courses. Additionally, both sides identified strategic opportunities for collaborative research in sustainability, economic and social development, technology, innovation, and regional studies, while also exploring expanded student and staff exchanges and internship opportunities.

     This visit reaffirmed the long-standing relationship between Thammasat University and UNSW and marked another important step toward building a broader and more sustainable long-term academic partnership.

มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และนิวเซาท์เวลส์ หารือโอกาสการขยายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ

     ในวันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม 2569 มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ นำโดย ผศ. ดร.ชยกฤต อัศวธิตานนท์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารทรัพยากรมนุษย์ ให้การต้อนรับผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัยนิวเซาท์เวลส์ ประเทศออสเตรเลีย ในระหว่างการเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต โดยมี ผู้อำนวยการและผู้แทนจากสถาบันอาณาบริเวณศึกษา คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงจากสถานทูตออสเตรเลียประจำประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมหารือในครั้งนี้ด้วย 

     ผู้แทนมหาวิทยาลัยนิวเซาท์เวลส์ ได้นำเสนอภาพรวมของมหาวิทยาลัย โดยเน้นถึงข้อมูลทางวิชาการ จำนวนนักศึกษา และหลักสูตรนานาชาติที่หลากหลาย นอกจากนี้ ยังได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงจุดแข็งที่สำคัญของหน่วยงาน ในด้านการศึกษาประยุกต์ การวิจัยประยุกต์ และการศึกษาข้ามชาติ โดยมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ได้นำเสนอวิสัยทัศน์ทางวิชาการ ความเป็นเลิศด้านการสอนและการวิจัย รวมถึงการดำเนินงานเชิงยุทธศาสตร์

     ทั้งสองฝ่ายยินดีในความสำเร็จของความร่วมมือที่มีอยู่ในปัจจุบันกับคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และมีความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันที่จะขยายความร่วมมือสู่ระดับมหาวิทยาลัยในหลากหลายด้านที่มีศักยภาพ ได้แก่ หลักสูตรปริญญาร่วมและปริญญาคู่ รูปแบบการศึกษาข้ามพรมแดน โดยเฉพาะในสาขา Software Development, Cyber Security หลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพระยะสั้นที่เน้นฝึกทักษะเฉพาะด้านเพื่อนำไปใช้ทำงานจริง และการเรียนแบบผสมผสาน (blended learning)

     ฝ่ายธรรมศาสตร์ได้แสดงความสนใจในการร่วมพัฒนาหลักสูตรทั้งระดับปริญญาตรีและบัณฑิตศึกษา โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาศักยภาพผ่านหลักสูตรการศึกษาสำหรับผู้บริหารและหลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ

     นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือโอกาสความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ด้านการวิจัยแบบยั่งยืน การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคม เทคโนโลยี นวัตกรรม และการศึกษาระดับภูมิภาค พร้อมทั้งหารือถึงการขยายโอกาสของโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากร และการฝึกงานอีกด้วย
