Thammasat University Library organized a knowledge exchange event under the theme “SDGs in Action: Libraries Shaping Sustainable Futures.”

Thammasat University Library held TULIB Infinite Knowledge 2025: “SDGs in Action: Libraries Shaping Sustainable Futures” on June 24, 2025, at Puey Ungphakorn Library, Rangsit Center. The event fostered knowledge exchange among library staff from higher education institutions and related organizations.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anyanitha Distanont, Director of the Thammasat University Library, stated that the Thammasat University Library has consistently prioritized users whose needs are constantly evolving, particularly those utilizing services in the modern era. Today’s activities are regarded as a knowledge exchange aimed at benefiting operational processes, as well as providing ideas for each department’s library to adapt for sustainable development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul, Vice Rector for Administration of Rangsit Campus, Thammasat University, who presided over the opening ceremony, stated that Thammasat University has consistently promoted and driven sustainable development in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across all sectors. In addition to the physical aspects, these goals are also integrated into the organization of activities and the curriculum. The intention is for all units of Thammasat University to work together towards achieving the SDGs. The Thammasat University Library is recognized as one of the exemplary models that has successfully advanced sustainable development in a tangible manner.
“I believe that today’s knowledge exchange activities represent a valuable opportunity to build networks for future collaboration among higher education libraries,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thira.

TULIB Infinite Knowledge 2025, themed “SDGs in Action: Libraries Shaping Sustainable Futures,” aligns with Sustainable Development Goals. The “From Waste to Wealth” project, shortlisted for the IFLA Green Library Award 2025, exemplifies successful waste-to-value creation, aiming to inspire other libraries. The highlighted topics explore the evolving role of libraries through their alignment with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This includes bibliometric analysis of library development trends related to SCOPUS database SDGs, practical SDG implementation by libraries, and transforming library spaces for engaging experiences that cater to diverse concepts and lifestyles.

The discussion “Green Transition in Action: Women Driving Cities, Businesses, and Libraries Towards a Green Future” featured Ms. Alisara Sivayathorn, CEO of Sivatel Hotel Bangkok, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daranee Jareemit, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at Thammasat University, sharing insights on sustainability.

Additionally, Thammasat University Library signed an MOU with the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology network (KMUTT, KMUTNB, KMITL) to collaborate on library services. The event concluded with a tour of the library’s Life Space (Co-Working, Learning, Performative, and Inspiration Zones).
