QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 Announced: Over 1,900 Institutions Featured Across 55 Fields

     Thammasat University has been ranked by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a leading university ranking institution from the United Kingdom. The official announcement of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 was made on March 25, 2026. More than 1,912 universities from around the world participated in the ranking, covering 5 broad subject areas and 55 subjects.

     Thammasat University has been ranked in 2 Broad Subject Areas out of 5, and is positioned at 2nd place in Thailand, namely Arts & Humanities (joint rank of 274th in the world) and Social Sciences (joint rank of 299th in the world).

     At the same time, the subject rankings have been assessed across a total of 13 disciplines out of 55, as follows:

Joint 1st place in Thailand

▪️ Politics & International Studies (ranked 151–200 in the world)

2nd place in Thailand 

▪️English Language & Literature (ranked 151–200 in the world) 
▪️Law (ranked 201–250 in the world) 
▪️Business & Management Studies (ranked 301–350 in the world) 
▪️Accounting & Finance (ranked 301–375 in the world) 
▪️Economics & Econometrics (joint 2nd in Thailand and ranked 351–400 in the world)

3rd Place in Thailand 

▪️Hospitality & Leisure Management (tied for 3rd in Thailand and ranked 101–150 in the world) 
▪️Modern Languages (ranked 251–300 in the world) 
▪️Linguistics (tied for 3rd in Thailand and ranked 301–350 in the world) 
▪️Sociology (ranked 301–375 in the world)

4th Place in Thailand 

▪️Medicine (ranked 451–500 in the world) 
▪️Computer Science & Information Systems (tied for 4th in Thailand and ranked 751–850 in the world)

Tied for 9th Place in Thailand 

▪️Agriculture & Forestry (ranked 401–475 in the world)

     This achievement reflects the advancement in line with the strategy of becoming a “Comprehensive University” that leads into the future, reaffirming Thammasat University’s potential in developing knowledge to an international level, in order to drive the university towards a sustainable future.
