Thammasat and SCG launch a “Possibilities Space for Young Talents Program 2026” summer internship, giving students hands-on environmental experience.

     On June 19, 2026, students from Thammasat University participating in the summer internship program, SCG Excellent Internship, engaged in the activity “Reviving Water, Creating Forests, Developing Quality of Life” at Ban Tham Tao, Tha-khlor, Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi Province. This initiative aimed to provide students with practical work experience while contributing to societal benefits. A total of 50 students from Thammasat University and over 200 students from other educational institutions participated in the event. The students have been evaluated and are able to earn credits through their enrollment in the course MTH.287 Learning from Practice 3.

     Additionally, the students conducted a site visit at the SCGP Inspired Solutions Studio within Siam Packaging Group Co., Ltd. (SPP) at the Navanakorn factory to learn about the process of innovation development and real-world operations in the industrial sector, before participating in activities related to the conservation and restoration of natural resources. This is part of the effort to promote water resource management and community development.

     The key activities include reforestation in watersheds, increasing green spaces, and constructing check dams to slow down water flow, reduce soil erosion, trap sediment, and enhance moisture retention in forest areas. These efforts also aim to conserve water for consumption and agriculture, mitigate flood risks, and strengthen long-term water resource security for the community.

     The project promotes water management, biodiversity conservation, and community knowledge sharing to enrich ecosystems and improve lives. Beyond restoration, these activities provide a learning space for students to collaborate with the community, highlighting a collective commitment to a sustainable future.
