Thammasat’s Research and Design Unit for All People, Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, won the model organization award for driving Universal Design for all at the UD Expo for Persons with Disabilities and Well-Being for Everyone.

     Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, through the Universal Design Research and Design Unit, has received the “Model Organization Award for Promoting Universal Design for All“ from the “UD Expo for Persons with Disabilities and Everyone’s Well–being.” The award was presented by Mr. Chanok Jantathong, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, on July 24, 2026, at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani.

     The award highlights the commitment of the faculty’s research and design unit to advance Universal Design through inclusive knowledge, research, and design. It also drives the practical application of these principles in society to enhance quality of life and create a universally beneficial environment.

     Additionally, the students of the faculty have received awards from the public space design competition for all, “Young UD Hackathon 2026,” organized by the Department of Promoting and Developing the Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, in collaboration with the Thai Foundation for the Development of Persons with Disabilities and Thammasat University. The students from the Landscape Architecture program (LN), namely Arisara Chaisaensuk, Suphanat Aekakharungroj, and Ekakrit Khaimusik, secured the first prize for their creatively responsive design work. Meanwhile, students from the Real Estate Development Innovation program (RD), including Wuttichat Jaboon, Nasa Punyatharavoranach, and Prissara Sathiwong, received honorable mention from the same platform.

     In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Arunee Limmanee, a faculty member of the Faculty of Social Administration at Thammasat University, has also received the “Role Model Award for Promoting Universal Design” from the event.
