On September 14, 2026, Thammasat University joined the Policy Dialogue Series forum “A Fairer Future: Advancing Equity Through the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts,” held online and at NSTDA’s Creative Zone (14th floor). Organized by NSTDA, the event focused on strengthening social sciences and humanities to shape policy and drive Thai innovation.

     Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Thammasat Rector, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapan Yolrabil, Vice Rector for Strategic Cooperation and Value Creation, and the faculty members of the University, participated in an exchange at the forum discussing the connections between cultural equity, opportunities, innovation, and governance.

     Prof. Dr. Supasawad delivered a special lecture on the topic “Reimagining Universities: A New Vision for Thai Universities to Create a Just Society.” He urged universities to promote justice, elevate social sciences, humanities, and arts for social innovation, and apply integrated knowledge to national development.

     Thammasat faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gamolporn Sonsri and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanyaporn Soontornthum joined the forum “Driving a Just Society through Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts” alongside Asst. Prof. Dr. Phrae Sirisakdamkoeng (Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre) and Dr. Wimonmat Srichamroen (Chulalongkorn University).

     The discussion covers distributing innovation benefits to small businesses and communities, developing workforce skills for industrial transitions, and designing human-centered public policies. It also emphasizes co-creation, enabling public participation from defining research to decision-making so knowledge directly addresses real societal needs.
