Chemical Engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the chemical and physical processes used to develop and make products to improve human life.  It concerns the design, operation, and maintenance of the manufacturing plants and machinery used in industrial chemical processes. It is a nexus between science and technology.  With the additional knowledge of biology, chemical engineers can devise new ways for living organisms to perform molecular transformations and discover new schemes beneficial for manufacturing processes.
