Thammasat Researchers won grand prizes from the JDIE 2023.

Researchers from Thammasat University won grand prizes from the Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo 2023 Invention Contest.

     Team of inventors and researchers from Thammasat University received a total of 8 awards from the "Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo (JDIE 2023) in Tokyo, Japan, including 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 5 special awards.

Gold medal award

   1. Project Title: Bed Time Herb, dietary supplement to promote sleep quality

by Associate Professor Dr. Dusit Athinuwat, Faculty of Science and Technology and the research team, namely

     1. Ms. Romnalin Chantawong

     2. Mr. Apisit Nilamart

     3. Mr. Kritidet Anant

and received a Special Prize from the University Politehnica of Bucharest Romania (Platinum Innovation Trophy), Romania.

   2. Project Title: Biodegradable container made from starch based foam formed by injection molding process

by Associate Professor Dr. Worapat Wachirayakorn, Faculty of Science and Technology and the research team, namely

     1. Mr. Piyapong Sornkaew

     2. Mr. Thanawat Chotiwan

and received a Special Prize from the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA), Indonesia.

   3. Project Title: Balance- Oral and throat spray : Immediate response to irritation

by Associate Professor Dr. Chirawut Phetyen, Faculty of Science and Technology and the research team, namely

     1. Asst. Prof. Dr. Anek Halee

     2. Dr. Surachet Toommee

     3. Wellness (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

and received a Special Prize from the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), Taiwan.

Silver medal award

   1. Project Title: Thai-UrBeAn Kombucha

and received a Special Prize from the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA), Indonesia, and the Best Presentation Award, Hong Kong.
