Thammasat University, in collaboration with Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), is organizing the Mental Health check-up Day at the Social Sciences Building Complex 1 (SC1) of Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.

Mental Health Check-Up Day is part of the Future Wellness University project, which aims to raise awareness of good mental well-being and promote collaboration between healthcare providers within and outside Thammasat University. This activity serves as a starting point for leveraging resources such as social services, networks, and knowledge to assist university health promotion.

Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, the Vice Rector of Human Resources Division, Thammasat University, delivered a report, and Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, the Rector of Thammasat University, presided over the opening ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Suphasawad stated that Thammasat University and Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) have implemented the Future Wellness University project, with the Human Resources Division and the Student Affairs Division as the main units driving policy-oriented activities. These activities include promoting health awareness through public relations activities, as well as upgrading and developing the TU Greats application with the Future Wellness Extension to provide health promotion services in the form of Online-On site Service Integration to meet the increasing demand for health services.

Assoc. Prof. Gasinee stated that promoting the well-being of the Thammasat community is an important mission. The university emphasizes the importance of having good physical and mental health within all dimensions through policy implementation, as well as fostering awareness of healthcare.

Mr. Pongsak Thongratana, the Director of Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), emphasized that educational institutions should produce graduates who are physically and mentally prepared for society. Currently, there is an increasing and severe trend in mental health problems both globally and in Thailand, due to economic conditions, epidemic situations, and societal changes.

"I believe that Thammasat University has the potential and readiness in terms of knowledge, professors, and various innovations to contribute to the creation of well-being within the university. When it comes to health, people often think of doctors, but in reality, everyone in every sector plays an important role in creating well-being within society."

During the event, there is a presentation on the topic "FAQ: Psychotropic Medications" by Dr. Korakoch Kangwantas, the Manager of the Community Pharmacy Laboratory (Osoth Dome), and Dr. Pawalee Niamtaworn.
