H.E. Mr. Joseph Anthony Cotter, Ireland's Ambassador to Thailand and Cornell University Professors visited Thammasat University

          On 9 July 2019 - H.E. Mr. Joseph Anthony Cotter, Ireland's Ambassador to Thailand visited to Thammasat University. Greeted by the Rector, Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, along with Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, both sides discussed the possibility of collaboration between Thammasat and universities in Ireland, particularly in joint program and joint research.

          And later that day, Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, along with Prof. Dr. Thanet Arpornsuwan, Former Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tavida Kamolvej, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anusorn Unno, Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Anthropology and lecturers from the Faculty of Political Science, the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Pridi Banomyong International College, met with Assoc. Prof.  Dr.  Arnika Furhmann (Southeast Asian Studies Program) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shorna B. Allred (Center for Conservation Social Sciences). Both sides discussed joint symposium and scholarships. Cornell University supported 10,000 USD for the AAS-IN-ASIA 2019” conference hosted by Thammasat University in collaboration with the Association for Asian Studies (AAS).
