THAMMASAT GLOBAL CONNECTIONS 2019 – July NO.1

Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with three partner universities and Asian Development Bank.

Thammasat University visited to University of Health Sciences, Lao PDR.

          Rector Gasinee led a Thammasat delegations which includes executives from health sciences Faculties, to sign an MoU with the University of Health Sciences, Lao PDR. Initiated by the Faculty of Public Health, the MoU provides a platform for substantive collaboration for all health sciences, including degree programs, short-term training programs, and curriculum improvements. Both sides have conferred upon the potential establishment of Center for Dam and Health. Moreover, the delegation was also greeted by Lao alumni graduated from Thammasat’s Faculty of Public Health.

 

 

Professor Agnes Nairn, Faculty International Director for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, University of Bristol, United Kingdom, visited to Thammasat University.

          On 18 June 2019 - Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, along with executives from faculty of Commerce and Accountancy and Faculty of Economics, met with Professor Agnes Nairn, Faculty International Director for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Both sides discussed on 2+2 program in the fields of Political Science and Economics and short program in Business and Management.

 

Mr. Tatsuya Kanai, Senior Advisor, Partnership Funds Division Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, Asian Development Bank, visited to Thammasat University.

          On 6 June 2019 – Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, along with executives from Faculty of Economics and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) met with Mr. Tatsuya Kanai, Senior Advisor, Partnership Funds Division Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, Asian Development Bank (ADB) to discuss about the ADB Scholarships. He also met with students who are the scholarship grantees.

 

President Yu Zhongming and delegates from Guizhou Education University, People's Republic of China, visited to Thammasat University to explore academic collaboration.

          On 24 April 2019 – President Yu Zhongming , along with delegates from Guizhou Education University, visited Thammasat University to explore possibility of academic collaboration and greeted by Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, along with executives from Pridi Banomyong International College.

          Both sides discussed on sending GZEU students to study graduate program at Thammasat in the fields of science, fine and applied arts and English language, the discussion also includes short program for 2- week-taught in Thai and English. In addition, Pridi Banomyong International College prompt having joint research with GZEU in the near future.

 

Mr. Jamshid Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to UN ESCAP, The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Bangkok visited to Thammasat University.

         On 24 April 2019 – Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, met with
Mr. Jamshid, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to UN ESCAP, The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Bangkok. This visit aimed to explore possibility of exchange lecturer and sending Uzbek students to study graduate program at Thammasat in fields of law, International Relations and engineering, the discussion also includes short program applied to undergraduate students.
