Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus Launches Project “Lakeside Premier Complex”

 

Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus promotes the area into medical hub, EEC and starts launching project Lakeside Premier Complex.

          Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus promotes the area into medical hub, EEC and starts launching project ‘Lakeside Premier Complex’. The project will offer better quality of life for elders by building full-service nursing home and medical clinic. TU will work with GH bank and invest 500 million Baht in the first phase.

          As the committee members of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) has approved and elevated the area of 556 rai of Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus, located in Sub district Pong, District Banglamoong, Chonburi to be EECmd. There will be the investment for Medical Hub and industry in the area including Lakeside Premier Complex or Senior Complex. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) signing ceremony between Thammasat University and GH bank was on 18 March 2019 at Pridi Banomyong Institute, Dome Administration Building at Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus. Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University and Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, President of Government Housing Bank were signing the agreement in order to study the feasibility to build nursing home and the Senior Complex project or EECmd in Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus area.

          Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, states that Currently, Thammasat University is ready to launch Senior Complex project in order to advance medical service in Eastern area of Thailand in accordance with Government policy on Aging Society. “Senior Complex project in Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus area is the key development in terms of social and health sector. We have a vision to take care of elders in the long term including building nursing home and hospitals. We have cooperated with the government, private sector, community and family to build a full-service EEC.”

          Senior Complex project of Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus will develop both the habitual area and clinic for elders. We have signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) with Government Housing Bank (GH bank) to study the feasibility of the project and give loan. This Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) is a significant cooperation between TU and GH bank in order to develop project for elders. The project conforms to Government policy that encourages all sectors to be ready for Aging Society. In the next two years, there will be more than 20% of 60 year old citizens in Thailand.

          “Thammasat University has potential innovative health care and medical industry which is a great fit for improvement of senior citizen’s life in the long term. In another point, GH bank also has plan for constructing nursing home for senior citizen. Therefore, this Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) stimulates both TU and GH bank to mutually study the feasibility and support in loans for Senior project or Lakeside Premier Complex in the future.”

          However, Lakeside Premier Complex project is in “EECmd in Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus” which has been approved by the committee members of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The first phase will cost 500 million Baht of investment which includes 3 residential building with 50-60 sq m. room in total of 150 rooms, including medical clinic for senior citizen, dental clinic, rehabilitation center and wellness clinic that provide information about nutrition, meditation, and yoga.

          Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, President of Government Housing Bank (GH bank) says that GH bank is a governmental bank that has a duty to offer housing support for Thai people and support governmental policy in terms of residential area to strengthen the stability in life. We see the importance of quality of life of senior citizen and want to ensure their stability in life to live in an appropriate area. Therefore, we fully support Senior Complex project by launching “GH bank housing project for elders” which divided into private loan (Post Finance) and construction loan (Pre Finance) in order to be ready for Aging Society in Thailand.

          Assoc. Prof. Dr.Supasawat Chatchawan, Administration Deputy Director of Tha Pra Chan Campus and Pattaya Campus states that in the near future Senior Complex project. And construction of Thammasat University hospital project in Pattaya Campus will make Thammasat University to be the center of medical hub EEC. We will improve medical service system for citizens and people who live in community area and be ready for the impact of economic growth, investment and tourism sector.

          “Although there is improvement in Retirement Community for elders by private sectors, we are certain that our potential staffs, medical services, and innovative healthcare will make Lakeside Premier Complex project create the most benefit for senior citizen and help improve their quality of life.”
