TU Researchers Won 21 Awards from ITEX 2019

TU researchers made an outstanding work and received 21 awards from ITEX 2019 which has over 900 works from 21 countries.

          TU researchers won 21 awards from the 30th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2019) on 2 - 4 May 2019 in Kualalumpur, Malaysia. Exhibition shows over 900 works from 21 countries. TU researcher team achieved 6 Gold medals, 8 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals and 4 Special Prize.

          Professor Dr. Siriwan Suebnukarn, Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Thammasat University states that work that we show in international exhibition has to be outstanding, innovative and creative. Our success shows that Thammasat University has valuable researchers that bring Thailand a great reputation from international exhibition.

6 Gold Medals

          2. SPEED 1 by Asst. Prof. Dr. Dusit Athinuwat and others from Faculty of Science and Technology and Special Prize from World Invention Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA), Taiwan.

          3. SPEED2 by Asst. Prof. Dr. Dusit Athinuwat and others from Faculty of Science and Technology.

          4. Sweetened Condensed Rice Milk Powder (Formula: Prebiotic and Dietary Fiber) by Dr.Krittiya Khuenpet and others from Faculty of Science and Technology and Special Prize from Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA), Indonesia.

          5. Mangosteen Vegan Yogurt Snack (Formula: synbiotic) by Dr. Krittiya Khuenpet and others from Faculty of Science and Technology.

          6. Adaptive Wooden Pallet: The Design of MovableShared Learning Space in Khlong Toei Community by Left Over Wooden Pallet by Dr. Winyu Ardrugsa and others from Faculty of Architecture and Planning and Special Prize from Hong Kong International Student Innovative Invention Contest, Hong Kong.

8 Silver Medals

          2. Prospective Biosensors for Breast and Prostate Cancer Detection by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chiravoot Pechyen and others from Faculty of Science and Technology.

          3. TU EX-Guard by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chiravoot Pechyen and others from Faculty of Science and Technology.

          4. Honey Lemon Tamarind Paste with Chewy and Instant-Drink Formulation for Health by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bootsrapa Leelawat and others from Faculty of Science and Technology.

          5. Lab on Cotton Swab for Detechtion of Cyanide and TNT by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Napaporn Youngvises and others from Faculty of Science and Technology.

          6. Pulse Oximeter Device with Application for Android by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornanong Yuenyongchaiwat and others from Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

          7. Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy Learning Media Using Augmented Reality Technology by Karan Pongpanit and others from Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

          8. Rapid Test for Diagnosis of Leptospirosis by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Uraiwan Kositanont and others from Faculty of Public Health and Special prize from World Invention Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA), Taiwan.

3 Bronze Medals

          2. Inpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs Using Augmented Reality Technology by Karan Pongpanit and others from Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

          3. Thoracic Surgical Cold Belt by Karan Pongpanit and others from Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

          The 30th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2019) is one of the exhibitions supporting research work and innovation. ITEX gives researchers opportunities to gain their work recognition internationally. The exhibition was held by National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Thammasat University has been encouraging researchers to present their works and innovation in international exhibition. Therefore, participating in ITEX 2019 is beneficial for Thai innovation and research work to be recognized internationally.
