The Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education, Thammasat University has been approved for membership of the Alliance of Asian Liberal Arts Universities (AALAU).

     Thammasat University by the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education (LSEd) has been approved as a member of the Alliance of Asian Liberal Arts Universities (AALAU), an association of Asia's leading educational institutions focusing on Liberal Arts Education of 28 institutions such as Yuanpei College of Peking University, China, The College of Arts and Sciences of University of Tokyo, Japan, Waseda University, Japan, Seoul National University, South Korea, Yonsei University, South Korea, and National Chengchi University, Taiwan, with the AALAU Association having a secretariat located in Hong Kong SAR.

     The AALAU's primary mission is to recommend and review policies related to international best practices in Higher Education, promotion of Liberal Arts education and advocacy of international collaborative research. The Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education has been approved for membership in AALAU. In addition to reflecting the fact that the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education has been recognized internationally, it will also help make students and staff of the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education to be able to access opportunities in exchanging knowledge and best practices internationally, research and academic cooperation and the exchange of students and personnel of the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education with faculties and universities that are members of the AALAU, as well as the opportunity to attend international conferences, seminars and workshops organized by the AALAU.

     Being a member of AALAU is considered a success for the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education in terms of building a network of international cooperation according to the policy of the faculty and the university. In the next phase, the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education Sciences will strive to pioneer work in international relations to build a bridge to connect networks with international institutions and to make the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education Sciences become internationalized and keep pace with the fast-changing world.
