SIIT Students received medals for outstanding talent from the Super AI Engineer Season 2

 

SIIT, Thammasat University in collaboration with AIAT organized the opening ceremony of the Super AI Engineer & Startup Exhibition 2022

     Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Association of Thailand (AIAT) organized the opening ceremony of the Super AI Engineer & Startup Exhibition 2022 and the award ceremony of the Super AI Engineer Season 2 that receives funding from the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B) to operate the "Innovative Development Project - Engineer - Researcher – Startup on Artificial Intelligence" or "Super AI Engineer" at the Beacon 2 exhibition area, Central World.

SIIT students who received medals are as follows:

  • Silver Medal Award

     1. Mr. Thanaphong Sommart, Electrical Engineering, Department of Information Technology, Computer and Communication

Project Title: "Pick-And-Place Automation System for Robotic Arms”

    It uses Computer Vision, Deep Learning models, and Feature Matching Techniques to automatically detect small objects obtained from the camera. Then, input both coordinates and directions to the robot to pick up the detected item. This project is developed in collaboration with KV Electronics Co., Ltd.

     2. Mr. Chanathiwat Nilpat, Digital Engineering, Department of Information Technology, Computer, and Communications

Project Title: “Face Detection System of Interested People in Video”

     It will receive a reference image of the person's face. In addition to identifying the location from the face directly, it also uses a method to figure out the clothes the person’s wearing in the video and also check for matching clothes at other times of the video to predict the position of the face from the position of the shirt as well. The project has been collaboratively developed with the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC).

  • Bronze Medal Award

     1. Mr. Sarun Deeluer, Master's degree student, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, Department of Information Technology, Computer and Communication

     Project Title: “Predictive Maintenance System Design for Motors in the Time Domain” by working with SMART Sense Industrial Design Co., Ltd.

     2. Mr. Phuchit Wichutanon, Master's degree student, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, Department of Information Technology, Computer and Communication

     Project Title: “Developing an English Language Learning Assessment System” in which users can interact with the AI ​​system to assess their English proficiency level according to the goals of the Story Line set where the learning has organized in the form of a Mobile App by working with Elixir Software Co., Ltd.

     Super AI Engineer is a program that aims to develop artificial intelligence personnel to drive the country in the future. In 2021, this is the 2nd year program (Season 2), following the 1st year program in 2020 (Season 1). This is an Artificial Intelligence Competency Assessment from the Super AI Engineer Program with advanced AI workshops from various experts in artificial intelligence who have undergone at least 11 weeks of intensive training. This year, 9 gold medals, 15 silver medals, and 52 bronze medals have been awarded.
