French Minister and Ambassador visit to promote bonds.

     Prof. Dr. Sylvie Retailleau, the Minister of Higher Education and Research in the French Government, along with H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, the French Ambassador to Thailand, paid a visit to Thammasat-Rangsit on 21 October 2023. They were warmly welcomed by Rector Gasinee Witoonchart along with the Vice Rector for Administration (Tha Prachan) and International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surat Teerakapibal, Deans from the Faculties of Law and Liberal Arts, and executives from both faculties.

     After Rector Gasinee greeted the French Minister and Ambassador, Vice Rector Surat provided information about current partnerships with French institutes, the number of full-time and exchange students, and the successful cooperative activities with the French Embassy. In addition, Deans from the Faculties of Law and Liberal Arts presented an overview of the cooperation with the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO) at the faculty-level and in exchange programs.

     The French Minister offered his greetings to Thammasat and spoke about the aim to strengthen mutual partnerships through academic activities, such as student and staff exchanges and lecturer mobility. 

     The Thammasat Rector also inquired about scholarship opportunities for Thammasat students to have more chances to study at institutes in France. The Ambassador provided more information about scholarships for undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students and the expanded collaboration in co-research with current partners.

     Before ending the visit, the Minister and Ambassador had a lively meet-up with students about their motivation to learn French and their goals after graduation, followed by a souvenir gift presentation and a group photo.

มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ร่วมหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ กับรัฐมนตรีจากประเทศฝรั่งเศส

     รัฐมนตรีกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษาและวิจัย ประเทศฝรั่งเศส พร้อมด้วยเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย เดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต เมื่อวันที่ 21 ตุลาคม 2566 โดย รศ.เกศินี วิฑูรชาติ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ รศ.ดร.สุรัตน์ ทีรฆาภิบาล รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารท่าพระจันทร์และวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วยคณบดีจากคณะนิติศาสตร์ และคณะศิลปศาสตร์ พร้อมคณาจารย์ ให้การต้อนรับ

     โดย รศ.เกศินี วิฑูรชาติ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับอย่างเป็นทางการ และ รศ.ดร.สุรัตน์ ทีรฆาภิบาล ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลจำนวนมหาวิทยาลัยคู่สัญญาในฝรั่งเศส นักศึกษาเต็มเวลาและนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยน พร้อมให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมที่ธรรมศาสตร์และสถานทูตฝรั่งเศส ดำเนินการร่วมกันมาโดยตลอด นอกจากนี้ คณบดีจากคณะนิติศาสตร์ และคณะศิลปศาสตร์ ให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมในส่วนของความร่วมมือในระดับคณะ ด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษากับ Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO)

     ฝ่ายฝรั่งเศส โดยรัฐมนตรีฯ กล่าวยินดีที่ได้มาเยือนในครั้งนี้ พร้อมแจ้งถึงวัตถุประสงค์การมาเยือน เพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ผ่านกิจกรรมทางวิชาการ อาทิ การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา อาจารย์ และเจ้าหน้าที่ จากนั้น รัฐมนตรีฯ และท่านเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้สอบถามและพูดคุยกับนักศึกษาจากสาขาวิชาฝรั่งเศส จากคณะศิลปศาสตร์ โดยให้ความสำคัญถึงมุมมอง แรงจูงใจที่ทำให้นักศึกษาเลือกเรียนสาขาวิชาฝรั่งเศส และเป้าหมายความตั้งใจในการทำงานหรือการใช้ชีวิต หลังจากที่สำเร็จการศึกษาแล้ว

     อธิการบดีได้สอบถามเรื่องทุนการศึกษาสำหรับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ เพื่อศึกษาต่อที่สถาบันการศึกษาในฝรั่งเศส ซึ่งเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับทุนการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท และเอก พร้อมทุนสำหรับ Post-Doctoral รวมถึงการขยายความร่วมมมือด้านการวิจัย ซึ่งธรรมศาสตร์สามารถหารือเพิ่มเติมกับมหาวิทยาลัยคู่สัญญาปัจจุบันได้

Shanghai HanSheng Law Firm and TU explore link-ups.

     The Assistants to the Rector for International Affairs and Students Affairs, together with the Deputy Dean for Quality Assurance from the Faculty of Law and the OIA Regional Coordinators for Asia, welcomed Senior Partner and Director of the Managing Board of the Shanghai HanSheng Law Firm and his team to Thammasat-Tha Prachan, on 1 November 2023.

     The Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs expressed an interest to establish internship opportunities for Thammasat students at law institutions in both Thailand and China and to organize an international symposium in law as well as conducting joint research. The TU team presented an overview of tailor-made short programs, both on-site and online, which can be designed to meet the needs and interests of Chinese applicants. 

     The Director of the Shanghai HanSheng Law Firm expressed his enthusiasm that such tailor-made programs offered by TU will offer more opportunities for his legal colleagues to acquire greater skills and heartily endorsed online sessions that would allow participants to save travel time.

     The Deputy Dean for Quality Assurance provided information about current programs offered by the Faculty of Law, such as the Introduction to Chinese Law course in which Chinese students are already enrolled at the graduate level and to which students from China may apply. 

     In addition, the Chinese Law team expressed its keen interest in cooperating with Thammasat to jointly publish articles in legal academic journals.

     อาจารย์ ทพญ.สิริภัทรา พัชนี ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายการนักศึกษา ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายประกันคุณภาพ คณะนิติศาสตร์ และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคเอเชีย กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ Senior Partner and Director of the Managing Board at Shanghai Hansheng Law Firm และคณะ จากประเทศจีน ในการเดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน 2566

     ฝ่ายธรรมศาสตร์ มีความสนใจทำความร่วมมือ การจัดหาสถานที่ฝึกงานด้านกฎหมายสำหรับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ และการสัมมนาเชิงวิชาการด้านกฎหมาย การทำงานวิจัยร่วมกัน นอกจากนี้ ยังได้เสนอการจัดโครงการระยะสั้น รูบแบบ Tailor-made short program ในแบบออนไลน์และในสถานที่ เพื่อให้ตรงตามความต้องการและเป้าหมายของผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการได้ ซึ่งทาง Shanghai Hansheng Law Firm ให้ความสนใจเป็นอย่างมาก เพราะต้องการเปิดโอกาสเพิ่มทักษะการเรียนรู้ให้กับบุคลากรให้หน่วยงานได้ อนึ่ง การจัดโครงการในรูปแบบออนไลน์ เป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกอย่างยิ่งสำหรับผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการในต่างประเทศ

     รองคณบดีฝ่ายประกันคุณภาพ คณะนิติศาสตร์ ได้ให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับหลักสูตรของคณะในปัจจุบัน เกี่ยวกับด้านกฎหมาย โดยมีวิชา Introduction to Chinese Law ซึ่งสามารถรองรับนักศึกษาชาวจีนที่สนใจเข้าศึกษา ในขณะนี้ มีนักศึกษาจากจีนกำลังศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท อีกทั้ง Shanghai HanSheng Law Offices ยังได้แสดงความสนใจที่จะผลิตผลงานทางวิชาการด้านกฎหมายร่วมกันกับมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ด้วย
