Update: International students, Thammasat University visit the National Museum to study arts and culture.

Exploring the Bangkok National Museum

     OIA, Thammasat organized a visit to the Bangkok National Museum for Thammasat inter-students to gain more insights into the museum’s significant historical collection and ethnological objects on 6 September 2023.

The Museum, located adjacent to Thammasat’s main Sanam Luang Gate, was Thailand’s first museum.

     The Thammasat group was guided on a tour of the exhibition, buildings and palaces by an official specialist from the museum. The inter-students learned about the antiquity of Thai civilization through the artifacts and history of the Dvaravati, Srivijaya, Lopburi, Sukhothai, Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin periods.

     The TU international group toured the exhibition of decorative arts and ethnological collections that display a variety of artistic, cultural and ethnological objects, such as musical instruments, ceramics, vintage metal ware, wood carving, costumes and textiles, mother of pearl inlay, and old weapons.

     The museum tour was just one of the monthly activities planned by OIA for inter-students in the 2023 academic year. Cultural tours of notable historical sites in Thailand is a popular activity for inter-students who are fond of historical tourism. Not only do they gain a deeper appreciation of the significant places, culture and art of Thailand, guided by native experts, they also learn of the historical milestones of Thailand in its interaction with other nations. 

นักศึกษาต่างชาติที่มาศึกษา ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ เพื่อศึกษาศิลปวัฒนธรรม

     กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ นำนักศึกษาต่างชาติเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ พระนคร เพื่อศึกษาศิลปวัฒนธรรม ประวัติศาสตร์โบราณวัตถุที่สำคัญ เมื่อวันที่ 6 กันยายน 2566 ซึ่งกิจกรรมเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์ เป็นหนึ่งในกิจกรรมนานาชาติประจำเดือน ของปีการศึกษา 2566

     พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติพระนคร ตั้งอยู่ใกล้กับประตูด้านสนามหลวงของมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ ได้ชื่อว่าเป็น “พิพิธภัณฑ์แห่งแรกของประเทศไทย”

     กลุ่มนักศึกษาได้เยี่ยมชมนิทรรศการทางประวัติศาสตร์ภายในอาคารและพระที่นั่งต่าง ๆ พร้อมรับฟังการบรรยายจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญของพิพิธภัณฑ์ โดยนักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้ประวัติศาสตร์และอารยธรรมที่รุ่งเรืองของไทย ผ่านศิลปะโบราณวัตถุในสมัย ทวารวดี ศรีวิชัย ลพบุรี สุโขทัย อยุธยา และรัตนโกสินทร์

     นอกจากนี้ นักศึกษาได้เดินชมงานประณีตศิลป์สืบสมัย ที่จัดแสดงเครื่องนาฏดุริยางค์ เครื่องถ้วย เครื่องโลหะ เครื่องไม้แกะสลัก ผ้าและเครื่องแต่งกาย เครื่องมุก และเครื่องอาวุธ เป็นต้น

     กิจกรรมการเยี่ยมสถานที่สำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์ในประเทศไทย เป็นอีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมยอดนิยมสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติที่ชื่นชอบการท่องเที่ยวแนวประวัติศาสตร์ นอกจากนักศึกษาจะได้ชื่นชมความงดงามผ่านโบราณสถานโบราณวัตถุ พร้อมการบรรยายที่รอบรู้รอบด้านจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญแล้ว นักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติ จะได้เรียนรู้ความเป็นมาของประวัติศาสตร์ของชาติอื่น ๆ ที่มีความแตกต่างหลากหลาย
