Thammasat and Glasgow Caledonian explore expanded link-ups.

     Asst. Prof. Dr. Prapaporn Tivayanond Mongkhonvanit, Dean of the School of Global Studies (GSSE), together with the OIA Director and the OIA coordinator for Europe, welcomed Mr. Daniel Baxter, Associate Dean and International Lead for the Department of Business Management and Dr. Charles Russell, Associate Dean and International Lead for the Department of Engineering, from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) in the UK during a meeting at Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 5 March 2024.

     Glasgow Caledonian University currently collaborates with the School of Global Studies under the “COIL” Program (Collaborative Online International Learning). The COIL program delivers online courses in the fields of Healthy Lives, Sustainable Environment, and Just Societies, aiming to foster online research, innovation, and teaching resources in the UK and Southeast Asia countries.

     To strengthen the partnership, GCU side expressed a keen interest to establish new collaboration with other faculties at Thammasat, such as the Thammasat Business School, the Thammasat School of Engineering, the Faculty of Law, SIIT and the Thammasat Design School.

     GCU enthusiastically proposed organizing a virtual information session to introduce the “COIL Program” to interested Thammasat colleagues.

     Glasgow Caledonian University ปัจจุบันมีความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับวิทยาลัยโลกคดีศึกษา ภายใต้โครงการ “COIL” หรือ Collaborative Online International Learning ซึ่งโครงการ COIL program เป็นหลักสูตรรูปแบบออนไลน์ คลอบคลุมการศึกษาใน 3 กลุ่มสาขา ได้แก่ Healthy Lives Sustainable Environment และ Just Societies โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนและพัฒนางานวิจัยออนไลน์ นวัตกรรม รวมถึงเครื่องมือในการสอนต่าง ๆ ในประเทศภายในสหราชอาณาจักรและเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

     เพื่อเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงและเข้มแข็งในความร่วมมือระหว่างสองสถาบัน โดย GCU มีความประสงค์ขยายความร่วมมือไปในระดับคณะต่าง ๆ ของธรรมศาสตร์ เช่น คณะพาณิชยศาสตร์ฯ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ คณะนิติศาสตร์ คณะสถาปัตยกรรมฯ และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีนานาชาติสิรินธร เป็นต้น

     ทั้งนี้ ฝ่าย Glasgow Caledonian เสนอการจัดงานบรรยายข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับ “COIL Program” รูปแบบออนไลน์สำหรับส่วนงานในธรรมศาสตร์ที่สนใจ

Ambassador of Bhutan to Thailand paid a courtesy call on Thammasat Rector.

     On 1 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Kinzang Dorji, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, the Rector of Thammasat, to reaffirm the friendly relations between the Kingdom and Thammasat University. Joining the Rector at Thammasat-Tha Prachan to welcome the Ambassador were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surat Teerakapibal, Vice Rector for Administration (Tha Prachan) and International Affairs, the OIA Director and the OIA coordinator for Asia.

     The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for Thammasat’s unwavering support extended to the Embassy of Bhutan and Bhutanese students. Over the years, Bhutan and Thammasat have had a constant exchange of visits at various levels, including high level official visits and official bilateral meetings. On this occasion, the Ambassador officially invited Thammasat to visit Bhutan and join the inauguration of the Dungkhar Dzong event during a visit to Bhutan.  

     Both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation through enhancing and complementing new academic programs.

เอกอัครราชทูตภูฏานประจำประเทศไทย เยี่ยมคารวะอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์

     รศ.เกศินี วิฑูรชาติ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ต้อนรับ ฯพณฯ เอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรภูฏานประจำประเทศไทย H.E. Mr. Kinzang Dorji เยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 1 มีนาคม 2567 เพื่อหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ โดยมี รศ.ดร.สุรัตน์ ทีรฆาภิบาล รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารท่าพระจันทร์และวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วยผู้อำนวยการกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคเอเชีย ร่วมต้อนรับด้วย

     หลังจากที่อธิการบดีกล่าวต้อนรับอย่างเป็นทางการ ฯพณฯ เอกอัครราชทูตภูฏานฯ ได้กล่าวแสดงความขอบคุณที่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ที่ให้การสนับสนุนสถานทูตภูฏานฯ และนักศึกษาภูฏานขณะที่เรียน ณ ธรรมศาสตร์เป็นอย่างดีเสมอมา

     ในตลอดหลายปีที่ผ่านมา ภูฏานและธรรมศาสตร์ได้เดินทางเยือนระหว่างกันในหลายระดับ อาทิ การเยือนของผู้บริหารระดับสูง หรือการประชุมหารืออย่างเป็นทางการระหว่างสองฝ่าย และในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตภูฏาน ได้เชิญมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เยือนภูฏานอย่างเป็นทางการ พร้อมเชิญเข้าร่วมงาน the Inauguration of Dungkhar Dzong ระหว่างการเยือนในครั้งนี้

Thammasat and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool explore university-level partnership.

     Professor Qiuling Chao, Board Member and Vice President of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in China, accompanied by the Director of Student Affairs and staff, were welcomed to Thammasat-Tha Prachan by the OIA Director and the Coordinator for Europe on 22 February 2024.

     XJTLU expressed its keen interest in pursuing collaboration with Thammasat at the university-level, particularly in student exchange programs and joint research. They also signaled their eagerness to establish new partnerships at the faculty-level. To support expanded linkups between both universities, the OIA at Thammasat will survey the interests of other faculties.

     For its part, Thammasat presented an overview of its Summer Program 2024 to be held during July - August 2024. XJTLU also briefed the TU representatives on its summer program featuring courses in Chinese language, business, and engineering. The XJTLU delegates agreed that an MOU, governing the exchange of students in the summer programs, would be a successful way to strengthen a partnership between both institutes in the future.

     ผู้อำนวยการกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคยุโรป มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับ Professor Qiuling Chao, Board Member and Vice President พร้อมด้วยผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายการนักศึกษาและเจ้าหน้าที่จาก Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) ประเทศจีน ในการเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 22 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567

     XJTLU มีความสนใจเป็นอย่างมากในการทำความร่วมมือระดับมหาวิทยาลัย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและการทำวิจัยร่วม รวมถึงการทำความร่วมมือในระดับคณะด้วย ทั้งนี้ เพื่อเป็นการสนับสนุนความร่วมมือระหว่างสองสถาบัน กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ สำรวจความสนใจของคณะต่าง ๆ ภายในธรรมศาสตร์อีกครั้ง 

     ธรรมศาสตร์ นำเสนอข้อมูลโครงการ Summer Program 2024 ที่จะจัดขึ้นในเดือนกรกฎาคมถึงสิงหาคม 2567 ซึ่งฝ่าย XJTLU ได้ให้นำเสนอโครงการ Summer Program ซึ่งเปิดสอนใน 3 สาขา คือ ภาษาจีน บริหารธุรกิจ และวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ทั้งนี้ฝ่าย XJTLU เห็นว่าการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาผ่านโครงการ Summer Program ภายใต้ MOU จะเป็นอีกช่องทางในการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในอนาคต

Thammasat and DWCLA update partnership.

     Prof. Namie Saeki, Director of the Division of International Affairs at Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts (DWCLA) in Japan, visited the OIA at Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 21 February 2024.  Prof. Saeki was greeted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyanuch Wiriyaenawat from the Japanese Language section of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and the OIA Coordinator for Asia.

     Both sides updated the exchange program between DWCLA and Thammasat under the current agreement, covering course offerings, requirements, dormitory arrangements, sports center use, health center access, and student activities such as the Buddy Program. 

     During the meeting, DWCLA gave a briefing on the Japanese Studies Program for the Fall of 2024. Thammasat also promoted its Summer Program 2024 from July to August 2024 that can be tailor-made to meet the needs and interests of DWCLA students. In addition, Dr. Piyanuch promoted the British and American Studies and Business English Communication programs offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts.

     รศ.ดร.ปิยะนุช วิริเยนะวัตร์ อาจารย์ประจำสาขาภาษาญี่ปุ่น คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วยผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคเอเชีย กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ให้การต้อนรับ Prof. Namie Saeki ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายการต่างประเทศ จาก Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts (DWCLA) ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในการเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 21 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567

     ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้ให้ข้อมูลความคืบหน้าเกี่ยวกับโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาระหว่างธรรมศาสตร์ และ DWCLA ภายใต้ความร่วมมือปัจจุบัน ได้แก่ รายวิชาการเรียน เกณฑ์การสมัคร หอพัก ศูนย์กีฬา ศูนย์สุขภาพ รวมถึงกิจกรรมนักศึกษา เช่น โครงการ Buddy Program เป็นต้น  

     ระหว่างการหารือ DWCLA แนะนำหลักสูตร Japanese Studies Program โดยจะเปิดในช่วงฤดูใบไม้ร่วง ปี 2567 ของญี่ปุ่น (Fall 2024) และธรรมศาสตร์ประชาสัมพันธ์โครงการระยะสั้น TU Summer Program 2024 กำหนดจัดระหว่างเดือนกรกฎาคมถึงเดือนสิงหาคม 2567 และแนะนำหลักสูตร tailor-made ที่ธรรมศาสตร์สามารถออกแบบเพื่อให้ตรงตามความต้องการของนักศึกษาจาก DWCLA  ได้ นอกจากนี้ ดร.ปิยะนุช ได้ให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับหลักสูตร British and American Studies and Business English Communication ด้วย

Thammasat attends Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2024 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

     16 – 17 February 2024 – The Office of International Affairs, Thammasat University, attended a Networking Session between Thai educational institutions and the Cambodian Higher Education Association at the Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh. H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, delivered the opening speech and welcomed all participants to the reception party. Attendees were representatives from Thai universities and private companies.

     At “Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2024: Unlock a world of possibilities”, Thammasat staffed a booth to welcome Cambodian high school students and to promote international programs and the Thammasat International Students Recruitment 2024 (TISR 2024) program, including scholarship opportunities. The booth attracted the attention of Cambodian high school students who are keen to explore new experiences by studying at Thammasat. 

     The Thailand Education and Jobs Fair is one of the biggest education exhibitions in Cambodia, featuring more than 30 Thai universities, 25 private Thai companies. and over 1300 participants from across Phnom Penh.

     ภายในงาน “Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2024: Unlock a world of possibilities” มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ร่วมเปิดบูธ เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์หลักสูตรนานาชาติของธรรมศาสตร์ โครงการ Thammasat International Students Recruitment 2024 (TISR 2024) และโอกาสการขอรับทุนสำหรับนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาของกัมพูชาที่มีความต้องการตามหาประสบการณ์ใหม่ ๆ ระหว่างเรียนที่ธรรมศาสตร์ และบูธได้รับความสนใจเป็นอย่างมาก

     งาน Thailand Education and Jobs Fair เป็นงานนิทรรศการการศึกษาขนาดใหญ่ในกัมพูชา โดยในงานมีมหาวิทยาลัยจากไทยเข้าร่วมมากกว่า 30 แห่ง บริษัทเอกชนไทยมีมากกว่า 25 แห่ง และมีผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมงานกว่า 1,300 คน
