Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with Keimyung University and Southwest University of Political Science and Law.

Keimyung visits Thammasat to enhance ties.

     Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, the Vice Rector for International Affairs, Thammasat Universty, greeted Mr. Han Yei Dong, Vice Dean of the Office of Admissions, and administrative staff from Keimyung University in Korea during a visit to Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 14 August 2024.

     The Vice Rector briefly introduced Thammasat and shared information about the partnership under the current agreement and as participating members in the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme.

     During the meeting, a Thammasat student returning from Korea also had a chance to share experiences while studying at Keimyung under the exchange program.

     Afterwards, the delegation wrapped up their tour with a visit to notable places around Thammasat-Tha Prachan, such as the Thammasat Museum, the cafeteria, the Thammasat Library, Pridi Plaza, and the TU-Book Store.

     รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ต้อนรับ Mr. Han Yei Dong รองคณบดีจาก Office of Admissions และคณะเจ้าหน้าที่จาก Keimyung University ประเทศเกาหลี ระหว่างการเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2567

     โดย รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ได้แนะนำและให้ข้อมูลของมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมทั้งแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยคู่สัญญาภายใต้ความร่วมมือปัจจุบันและข้อมูลการเป็นสมาชิกของโครงการ the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) ของสองสถาบัน ซึ่งระหว่างการหารือ นักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ที่เคยไปเรียนที่เกาหลีภายใต้โครงการแลกเปลี่ยน ได้มีโอกาสบอกเล่าและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ระหว่างการเรียน ณ Keimyung University

     หลังจากนั้น คณะอาคันตุกะได้เยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญภายในมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ ได้แก่ พิพิธภัณฑ์ธรรมศาสตร์ โรงอาหาร ห้องสมุด ลานปรีดี และศูนย์หนังสือ

Thammasat and SWUPL boost new ties.

     Dr. Usanee Lertrattananon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, along with the OIA Coordinator for Asia, met with Prof. Qin Jie from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) in China during a visit to Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 9 August 2024.

     SWUPL and Thammasat discussed the extension of better opportunities for Thammasat students to intern and get a chance to start their careers at Chinese companies in Thailand. Both sides agreed to organize an “information session day” providing information about job opportunities, presented by Human Resources Officers from Chinese firms as well as inviting them to join the Thammasat Open House.

     To mark the 50th Anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic relations in 2025, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation via academic activities, such as panel discussions and seminars, in order to exchange views on business law that would help to inform Chinese entrepreneurs in Thailand.

     The Assistant to the Rector added that Thammasat will attend the China Education Expo (CEE) in four Chinese cities – Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing – scheduled for October 2024 during which both institutes will hold follow-up discussions.

ธรรมศาสตร์ และ SWUPL หารือการทำความร่วมมือและการขยายโอกาสสำหรับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ในการฝึกงานกับบริษัทจากประเทศจีน

     ดร.อุษณีษ์ เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วยผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคเอเชียของกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ หารือกับ Prof. Qin Jie จาก Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) ประเทศจีน ระหว่างการเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เมื่อวันที่ 9 สิงหาคม 2567

     โดยหารือเรื่องการขยายโอกาสสำหรับนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์ในการเข้าฝึกงานและสมัครงานในบริษัทจากประเทศจีนที่อยู่ในประเทศไทย และทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความเห็นที่ตรงกันในการสนับสนุนการจัดงานประชาสัมพันธ์ข้อมูล หรือ “information session day” เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์และให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับตำแหน่งงาน โอกาสการสมัครและเข้าทำงาน โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายทรัพยากรบุคคลของบริษัทสัญชาติจีนในไทย รวมถึงการเชิญบริษัทเหล่านั้นเข้าร่วมงาน Thammasat Open House ด้วย

     และเพื่อเป็นการเฉลิมฉลองการครบรอบ 50 ปีความสัมพันธ์ไทย - จีน ในปี 2568 ที่จะถึงนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการจัดงานวิชาการร่วมกันเพื่อเป็นการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ เช่น การจัดงานสัมมนา เสวนาทางวิชาการ เพื่อเป็นการแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองทางด้านกฎหมายเชิงธุรกิจ ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์สำหรับนักลงทุนชาวจีนในประเทศไทย 

     โดย ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ได้เพิ่มเติมข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการเดินทางเข้าร่วมงานนิทรรศการการศึกษา the China Education Expo ในเดือนตุลาคม 2567 ของธรรมศาสตร์ ที่กำหนดไป 4 เมืองของประเทศจีน ได้แก่ กว่างโจว เซี่ยงไฮ้ เฉิงตู และปักกิ่ง ซึ่งจะเป็นโอกาสที่ดีในการหารือเพิ่มเติมในประเด็นการทำงานร่วมกันในอนาคต 

Welcoming New International Students: Orientation Day, Semester 1-2024

     2 August 2024: Almost 200 international students from various countries attended the Thammasat International Day for semester 1/2024 at the Law Faculty lecture hall on the Tha Prachan Campus. The morning session began with an opening speech from the Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, to encourage students to embrace their new environment during their time at Thammasat. The Vice Rector also gave special talks on “Guidance for new TU friends: Do’s and Don’t’s in Thailand” and “All you should know about Thailand” to acquaint students with life in Thailand and acquire a feel for what the Thai culture and etiquette are like.

     Following that, the Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, Dr. Usanee Lertrattananon, gave a presentation introducing the Office of International Affairs (OIA). The morning sessions also included briefings on “Visa & Immigration Regulations” and “Application for Visa or Application for Change” by officials from the Immigration Bureau, as well as an exclusive talk by diplomatic attachés from the embassies of Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Republic of Korea.  The afternoon sessions featured a briefing on OIA-sponsored activities during the upcoming semester by Dr. Supreedee and a talk by Lecturer Wiraphorn Hongwiangchan from the Faculty of Liberal Arts on Thai culture and an introduction to basic Thai language.

Cultural and campuses tours.

     7 August 2024 – The morning started with cultural tours of the Emerald Buddha Temple, the Grand Palace, Museum Siam, and the National Museum Bangkok.

     During a visit to the Emerald Buddha Temple and Grand Palace, International students were introduced to the history of Thai architecture, mural painting and stucco arts. At Museum Siam, they were treated to a tour of the contemporary “Modern Museum” through modern technology and creative activities - historical, architectural, traditional, culinary and clothing perspectives. On 7 and 8 August 2024 at the National Museum Bangkok, international students learned about Thai history, the evolution of archeological arts in Thailand as well as viewing the historical collection of a variety of artistic, cultural and ethnological objects.

     In the afternoon, the OIA led international students to visits of notable places around Tha-Prachan – the underground library, Pridi Plaza, the canteen, and Health Center – and at the Rangsit campus – the Green Canteen, Sports Center, hospital, dormitories, and the Puey Ungphakorn Centenary Hall

ปฐมนิเทศนักศึกษาต่างชาติ ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 ‘ต้อนรับสู่รั้วธรรมศาสตร์’

     นักศึกษาต่างชาติจากหลากหลายประเทศเกือบ 200 คน เข้าร่วมงานวันปฐมนิเทศนักศึกษาใหม่สำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 เมื่อวันที่ 2 สิงหาคม 2567 ณ ห้องเรียนรวม คณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ โดย รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ กล่าวต้อนรับนักศึกษา เพื่อให้กำลังใจและแนะแนวทางนักศึกษาในการเข้ามาอยู่ภายใต้สิ่งแวดล้อมใหม่ ๆ ระหว่างเรียนที่ธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมกับบรรยายพิเศษ ในหัวข้อ “Guidance for new TU friends: Do’s and Don’t’s in Thailand” และ “All you should know about Thailand” เพื่อให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้แนวทางการใช้ชีวิตในไทย รวมถึงวัฒนธรรมและมารยาทไทยเบื้องต้น

     นอกจากนี้ ดร.อุษณีษ์ เลิศรัตนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ได้ให้ข้อมูลและแนะนำกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ โดย เจ้าหน้าที่จากสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ได้บรรยายในหัวข้อ “Visa & Immigration Regulations” and “Application for Visa or Application for Change” พร้อมกับเจ้าหน้าที่สถานทูตประเทศต่าง ๆ ประจำประเทศไทย ได้แก่ ผู้แทนจากสถานทูตอินโดนีเซีย เมียนมา และเกาหลี เข้าร่วมบรรยายพร้อมพบปะพูดคุยกับนักศึกษา และยังมีการบรรยายโดย อาจารย์วิราพร หงษ์เวียงจันทร์ คณะศิลปศาสตร์ เกี่ยวกับการเรียนรู้ความเป็นไทย ด้วยการเรียนภาษาไทยเบื้องต้นที่สอดแทรกเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมไทย เพื่อปรับใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันระหว่างการเรียนที่ประเทศไทย

     หลังจากนั้น ในวันที่ 7 – 8 สิงหาคม 2567 กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ได้นำนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนเยี่ยมชมวัดพระแก้ว พระบรมมหาราชวัง มิวเซียมสยาม และพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ พระนคร รวมทั้งเยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญภายในมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ และศูนย์รังสิต
