     Thammasat University together with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia (E4SEA) program that aims to promote and support gender equality.

     We are excited to share the success of the "Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia (E4SEA)" program, a collaboration between Thammasat University and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The primary aim of this program is to promote and support gender equality within the energy sector.

     Under the E4SEA program, Thammasat University has served as the Regional Energy Internship Coordinator for Southeast Asia, actively encouraging and supporting the participation of "women workforces" and members of the LGBTQ+ community in pursuing careers within the energy industry. We are proud to announce that the program has successfully placed 41 interns in various roles across the energy sector. This achievement would not have been possible without the cooperation and commitment of 11 prominent energy companies and 6 esteemed tertiary educational institutions in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

     As a testament to the program's commitment to knowledge exchange and continuous improvement, the "Regional Gender-Inclusive Energy Internship Program Knowledge Exchange: Stock Taking & Best Practices" was held on July 31, 2023. The knowledge exchange session provided an inclusive and supportive platform for participants to share invaluable insights, experiences, and best practices gained through the first-ever Gender Inclusive Regional Energy Internship Program. The initiative was implemented in partnership with the tertiary educational institutions that nominated the students and the energy employers who graciously hosted the interns.

    We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the energy companies B. Grimm Power, FirstGen Corporation, Energy Development Corporation (EDC), OneCharge Solutions, Pertamina, Geo Dipa Energi, Energy Absolute Public Company Limited, Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), PTTLNG, Phu Yen TTP Joint Stock Company, and Dau Tieng Tay Ninh Energy Joint Stock Company (DTE), as well as the tertiary educational institutions Thammasat University, Prince of Songkla University, State Polytechnic of Bengkalis (Polbeng), Bandung Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung), King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), and De La Salle University, for their pivotal role in making this program a success.

     One of the key components of the Internship Program has been the valuable insights provided by the interns themselves. The knowledge-sharing event aimed to gain deeper insights into designing future gender-inclusive programs that will enhance opportunities for women to thrive and prosper in the transitioning energy sector in Southeast Asia.

     We are committed to building on the success of the E4SEA program and look forward to fostering a more inclusive and diverse energy industry in the region. With continued support and collaboration, we are confident that we can create a positive impact and drive meaningful change.

     โครงการ "Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia (E4SEA)" ความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และองค์การเพื่อการพัฒนาระหว่างประเทศแห่งสหรัฐอเมริกา (USAID) เป้าหมายหลักของโครงการนี้คือการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนความเท่าเทียมทางเพศในภาคพลังงาน โดยมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ได้ทำหน้าที่เป็นผู้ประสานงานการฝึกงานด้านพลังงานประจำภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการมีส่วนร่วมของ "แรงงานสตรี" และสมาชิกของชุมชน LGBTQ+ ในการประกอบอาชีพในอุตสาหกรรมพลังงาน โครงการประสบความสำเร็จในการส่งนักศึกษาผู้ผ่านการคัดเลือกจำนวน 41 คน ไปฝึกงานในสายงานสาขาต่าง ๆ ในบริษัทพลังงาน ความสำเร็จนี้จะเกิดขึ้นไม่ได้เลยหากปราศจากความร่วมมือและความมุ่งมั่นของบริษัทด้านพลังงานที่มีชื่อเสียง 11 แห่งและสถาบันการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาที่มีชื่อเสียง 6 แห่งในประเทศไทย อินโดนีเซีย เวียดนาม และฟิลิปปินส์

     เพื่อแสดงถึงความมุ่งมั่นของโครงการในการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และการปรับปรุงอย่างต่อเนื่อง จึงได้จัดกิจกรรม the "Regional Gender-Inclusive Energy Internship Program Knowledge Exchange: Stock Taking & Best Practices" ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2566 กิจกรรมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่ครอบคลุมและสนับสนุนให้ผู้เข้าร่วมแบ่งปันข้อมูลเชิงลึก ประสบการณ์ และบทเรียนที่ได้รับจากโครงการฝึกงานด้านพลังงานระดับภูมิภาค ความคิดริเริ่มนี้ดำเนินการโดยความร่วมมือกับสถาบันการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาที่เสนอชื่อนักศึกษาและนายจ้างด้านพลังงานที่รับนักศึกษาเข้าไปฝึกงานยังบริษัท

     ขอขอบคุณบริษัทพลังงานอย่าง B.      หนึ่งในองค์ประกอบสำคัญของโปรแกรมการฝึกงานคือข้อมูลเชิงลึกอันมีค่าที่ผู้ฝึกงานได้รับ งานแบ่งปันความรู้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรับข้อมูลเชิงลึกในการออกแบบโครงการฝึกงาน E4SEA ในภาคพลังงานในอนาคต ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสให้ผู้หญิงประสบความสำเร็จในภาคพลังงานในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

     เรามุ่งมั่นที่จะสานต่อความสำเร็จของโครงการ E4SEA และตั้งตารอที่จะส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมพลังงานที่ครอบคลุมและหลากหลายมากขึ้นในภูมิภาคนี้ ด้วยการสนับสนุนและการทำงานร่วมกันอย่างต่อเนื่อง เรามั่นใจว่าโครงการจะสามารถสร้างผลลัพธ์เชิงบวกและขับเคลื่อนการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญได้
