Thammasat attends “Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2023” in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

     Thammasat University and representatives from 17 Thai educational institutions and 25 private companies participated in the “Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2023” from 17 to 19 February, 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to promote international programs, scholarship opportunities and job vacancies for Cambodian youth. The expo was co-organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s “Go Study Thailand” program, the ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia (MoEYS), and the Network of Thailand Alumni in Cambodia.

     17 February 2023 – The Cambodia Higher Education Association (CHEA), led by H.E. Dr. Heng Wanda, Chairman of the Association's board, and H.E. Dr. Ly Cheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, welcomed the TU and Thai delegations during their visit to CHEA. The visit focused on exploring academic collaboration and new partnerships with Cambodian universities. Also promoted were scholarship opportunities for high school students in Phnom Penh to study at Thammasat.

     In the evening, the Thai university delegation paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Phen to seek support in extending collaboration between universities in both countries.  The Ambassador acknowledged the crucial role of youth in the country’s development. He further affirmed that the Embassy is prepared to assist the Cambodian Government's efforts to improve youth capability through collaboration with renowned Thai educational institutions and to encourage Thai businesses to hire young Cambodians.

     18 February 2023 - H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, the Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, delivered the opening speech, stating that the Thailand Education & Jobs Fair 2023 is an event of opportunities for future education and careers for the young Cambodian generation. H.E. Mr. Hang Chuon Naron, the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia, spoke as Guest of Honor, noting that the event enhanced the motivation of students in Cambodia to pursue further education and personal growth in order to enhance the country's socio-cultural and economic development for stability and sustainability, as well as to understand the demands of the labor market. Over 500 participants attended the education expo with the Thammasat booth receiving avid attention from Cambodian high school students and parents.

     At the event, Thammasat’s representatives introduced scholarship opportunities in Thailand during a panel discussion. Additionally, there were two further panel discussions in which representatives from Thai educational institutions and Thammasat presented scholarship opportunities for further studies in Thailand. Members of the Network of Thailand Alumni in Cambodia also shared their tips and experiences in pursuing education in Thailand.

ธรรมศาสตร์ ร่วมงาน Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2023 ณ กรุงพนมเปญ กัมพูชา

     มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย 17 สถาบันการศึกษาไทยและองค์กรภาคเอกชนไทยในกัมพูชา 25 แห่ง เข้าร่วมงาน ‘Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2023’ ระหว่างวันที่ 17 - 18 กุมภาพันธ์ 2566 ณ Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) มหาวิทยาลัยภูมินท์พนมเปญ (RUPP) กรุงพนมเปญ ประเทศกัมพูชา เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ข้อมูลการศึกษาต่อในประเทศไทยและทุนการศึกษา รวมถึงตำแหน่งงานสำหรับเยาวชนกัมพูชา จัดโดย สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงพนมเปญ ร่วมกับการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย โครงการ Go Study Thailand และเครือข่ายศิษย์เก่าไทยในกัมพูชา

     โดยวันที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2566 ผู้บริหาร Cambodia Higher Education Association (CHEA) นำโดย H.E. Dr. Heng Wanda, Chairman of the Association's Board and H.E. Dr. Ly Cheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association ให้การต้อนรับผู้แทนจากธรรมศาสตร์ และ 14 สถาบันการศึกษาไทย ระหว่างการเยือน CHEA เพื่อหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ ซึ่งเป็นการเพิ่มโอกาสและทางเลือกให้นักเรียนกัมพูชาศึกษาต่อที่มหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทย

     โดยคณะผู้แทนสถาบันการศึกษาไทย ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคาวะ นายเชิดเกียรติ อัตถากร เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงพนมเปญ ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทยประจำกรุงพนมเปญ เพื่อหารือการสนับสนุนจากสถานทูตไทยฯ ในการเอื้ออำนวยและประสานสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาในไทยและกัมพูชา และสถานทูตฯ ตระหนักถึงบทบาทของเยาวชนต่อการพัฒนาประเทศและพร้อมสนับสนุนความพยายามของรัฐบาลกัมพูชาในการสร้างเยาวชนที่มีคุณภาพ ผ่านสถาบันการศึกษาที่ได้รับการยอมรับของประเทศไทย รวมทั้งส่งเสริมการจ้างงานชาวกัมพูชาของธุรกิจไทยในกัมพูชา

     และในวันที่ 18 กุมภาพันธ์ 2566 มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และสถาบันการศึกษาชั้นนำของไทย 16 แห่ง และ บริษัทไทยที่เข้ามาลงทุนในกัมพูชา 25 บริษัท ร่วมออกบูธแนะนำหลักสูตรการศึกษาและตำแหน่งงาน ในงานนิทรรศการการศึกษา ‘Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2023’ เพื่อให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการศึกษาต่อในประเทศไทยและทุนการศึกษาต่าง ๆ เสนอตำแหน่งงานกว่า 200 ตำแหน่ง ให้กับเยาวชนกัมพูชา โดยเฉพาะผู้ที่จบการศึกษาจากประเทศไทย ซึ่งสามารถสื่อสารภาษาไทยได้และเข้าใจถึงความเป็นไทย

     ทั้งนี้ นายเชิดเกียรติ อัตถากร เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงพนมเปญ ได้กล่าวเปิดงาน และเน้นย้ำว่า Thailand Education & Jobs Fair 2023 เป็น "งานแห่งโอกาส" โอกาสแห่งอนาคตด้านการศึกษาและอาชีพของคนกัมพูชารุ่นใหม่ รวมถึงได้รับเกียรติจากนายฮอง ชวน ณารน รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ เยาวชน และกีฬากัมพูชา กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ถึงความสำคัญของงานที่จะเป็นแรงบันดาลใจสำหรับนักเรียนนักศึกษาในการศึกษาต่อและการพัฒนาตนเองเพื่อตอบสนองต่อกระแสของการพัฒนาสังคม เศรษฐกิจ และวัฒนธรรมของชาติให้มั่นคงและยั่งยืน รวมถึงทำให้มีความรู้ความเข้าใจเพิ่มเติมในเรื่องความต้องการของตลาดแรงงาน โดยมีนักเรียน นักศึกษา และเยาวชนกัมพูชาเข้าร่วมงานกว่า 500 คน

     ในงานนิทรรศการการศึกษา มีการอภิปรายหัวข้อ “Scholarship Opportunities in Thailand” โดยผู้อำนวยการกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ เป็นตัวแทนธรรมศาสตร์ และผู้แทนสถาบันการศึกษาไทย เข้าร่วมอภิปรายพร้อมให้ข้อมูลเรื่องทุนการศึกษาของแต่ละสถาบัน นอกจากนี้ ตัวแทนจากเครือข่ายศิษย์เก่าไทยในกัมพูชาได้มาแบ่งปันประสบการณ์การเตรียมเพื่อไปศึกษาต่อในประเทศไทย

OIA organizes “Put Your Mask On” 

     The Thammasat Office of International Affairs (OIA) held a decorative mask event entitled “Put Your Mask On” on 7 February 2023, bringing together Thai and international students from various countries to explore new friendships.

     The Vice Rector for Administration (Tha Prachan) and International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surat Teerakapibal, presided over the event’s opening ceremony and delivered opening remarks, encouraging the participants to enjoy the contest and win cash prizes.

     During the competition, students decorated fancy masks in their own preferred ways by using decorative equipment that was provided.  Additionally, the TU Folksong group provided a musical background to relax the contestants and create an informal environment.

     At the end of the friendly competition, the first-place winner was from Canada with a “mask for party”. Second place went to a student from Korea, and “Popular Vote” was awarded to a Japanese student.

กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ จัดกิจกรรม “Put Your Mask On”

     กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ จัดกิจกรรมการแข่งขันตกแต่งหน้ากากแนวแฟนซี หรือ “Put Your Mask On” เมื่อวันที่ 7 กุมภาพันธ์ 2566 เพื่อเชิญชวนทั้งนักศึกษาไทยและนักศึกษาต่างชาติแบบเต็มเวลาและแลกเปลี่ยนที่มาจากหลากหลายประเทศ ได้ทำความรู้จักและสร้างมิตรภาพใหม่ ๆ ในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัย ผ่านกิจกรรมดังกล่าว โดย รศ.ดร.สุรัตน์ ทีรฆาภิบาล รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารท่าพระจันทร์และวิเทศสัมพันธ์ กล่าวต้อนรับนักศึกษาในการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม

     โดยกติกาการแข่งขันกำหนดให้ผู้เข้าร่วมตกแต่งหน้ากากแนวแฟนซีตามแบบฉบับของตัวเอง โดยใช้วัสดุอุปกรณ์ที่จัดให้ ระหว่างการแข่งขัน มีการบรรเลงดนตรีเพื่อเสริมสร้างบรรยากาศจากนักศึกษาจากชุมนุมดนตรีโฟล์คซองแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์

     หลังจากการแข่งขันที่อบอุ่นเป็นกันเอง นักศึกษาจากแคนาดา ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศ ด้วยไอเดียหน้ากากสำหรับงานเต้นรำ นอกจากนี้ นักศึกษาจากญี่ปุ่น ได้รับรางวัลรองชนะเลิศ ส่วนรางวัลคะแนนนิยม (Popular Vote) เป็นของนักศึกษาจากเกาหลี
